I second that, Grundy is better than any Cumberland team, and Chilhowie is the only team I see in their way. However I am using the transitive property here

As sad as it makes me Gate city, has the best potential out of everyone to get a state championship in the next 10-15 years. They will be the least affected by the economy and their population should grow when Sullivan finally does what it's going to do. But. My question is can they avoid 3a.

Walker has a young nucleus that should be a force in 2 or so years, combine that with a new coaching staff at twhs for the second straight year, excited to see what the future holds.

I went to Aberdeen ele. for the first 3 years of school until they built Hillsdale and then went to Hillsdale for my 4th through 6th grade.  My favorite teacher of all time (  with the exception of my wife...lol )  was a guy named Mr McCarty,  just a great teacher and person !.
What years were you there ?  I was there 1968/69 through 71/72.  My best friend back then was a guy named David Easter,  just in case you might know him.  What a small world it is at times.  Do you remember the great peanut butter cookies....lol
They did have great food there,  but mom always made my lunch,  but would give me enough money to buy the cookies and get extra milk,  She worked at Bata shoe company, and dad worked in Havre de Grace for American Cyanamid.
Mom and Dad were from Richlands so after football season my Jr. year ( 75/76 ) we moved back here and I graduated from Richlands in 77.

Boys, still working on it, they did win, I was there, it's too the tune of 41-36ish, I'll get the exact tomorrow on the ride to cw.

Today's basketball has shifted away from proper execution of picks, passes, and an offense and more into dribble drive, three pointers, and one on one.

Neither one of those teams were winning anything. Region D would have been the upper limit for either of those two. Really the only two teams from PV who were really capable of winning state that didn't were 1983 and 2004 IMO. A case might could be made for 1996, but I didn't think they were very close. A case could be made for the 1986 team that was upset by Garden, too.

Got two interjections
I am a coach and I sent a clear message at the beginning of the season. No one is to acknowledge another teams players or coaching staff. If this happen, it's immediate dismissal. It has worked well so far.
 
If a player is at an any game, they are under the direct supervisor of the school's officials (coach) and can not leave their supervision until after the game or are released to a guardian. Therefore as a coach you must decide where is an appropriate place to supervise this individual. Wrong or right? I do not know but, this my rationale to form a educated assumption.
 
I wish Richlands a safe trip and hope this individual is forgiven for his mistake.

The community feeling Myers has established with TWHS basketball is an amazing. We are blessed to have him on our sidelines. 
First post, I appreciate this site and everything done to assist SWVA sports. I'll try to rely scores when possible to assist with the coverage or TWHS sports.
