What if I told you that I loved the Train Horn at Union weeks ago? 
It's what playing on the road is all about. Gotta learn how to play through adversity sometimes. Gotta learn how to deal with life through adversity sometimes. 
Can't keep making excuses for these kids and then wonder why they can't handle anything when they grow up. 

I agree with you...It not like  we're undefeated when UNION FANS make all the noise with Train & Air horn's, Cowbell's and any other loud devices... The G-men came to Big Stone last year and beat us...My opinion is UNION player's get fired up and player harder when the fans get behind them and cheering loud..🗣🙌💥

Y’all worried about a horn and I’m still trying to figure out how Union snapped the ball, held it and kicked it 22 yards in 2 seconds at Graham. Someone needs to call the Guinness Book of Records. NFL teams can’t do that.

What I have seen is a lot of penalties on hits on defenseless players...with the actions of what we call crack back blocking or taking hits from a blind side like on a kick off when the ball is 20 yards down the field. I've saw a lot of refs throw flags on that particular situation. But I have yet to see a high school player thrown out for targeting.

I hope they take them seriously because this really has all the signs of a trap game.  Also I haven't heard anything but why was Satterfield not playing friday

Really shows the conditioning because they chased Lester around for what seemed like miles. And he was cool as a cucumber the whole time. 
Just an incredible game and tremendous effort by both teams. 

Much respect to the GMen. They have a great team with athletes everywhere. 
Stats will be interesting. While Union played a tremendous game and showed incredible heart, I do feel the ball bounced our way tonight. One play here or there could have went differently and we would have had a long ride home.
I do not want a rematch! Haha

Looking forward to the trip to Bluefield. Haven't been to Mitchell stadium since 2012. Would love a similar result, but not seeing it. It seems that Graham holds all the cards in this match up, just hoping the Bears don't lose their shirts too. Hoping for 2 things - another excellent showing by the Bears' D and slow, methodically sustained TD drives on the ground. If those 2 happen, we have a chance. Don't think we can match Graham score for score. Have to play keep away and eat the clock.

I married (and since divorced) a Whitesburg woman and never did get to eat there.
As for the game, Da Bears beat down my daughter's future high school by as many as they want.  Polier after the game gives a Stone Cold Stunner to a KHSAA official for trying to be crooked like nWo ref Nick Patrick.

Me too but I'm afraid if they are as good as I believe, it's still gonna be a tough game. But at least Union wont start in a 14-0 hole like they would in KY before game begins.

Just like this guy said...GREAT GAME last night...The Union side was just LOUD and PROUD of how the team responded in the 2nd half...

Defense looks great and we knew the linebackers were good but the secondary has really been impressive.  The offense was more than usual predictive but the first drive of 2nd half reminded me of the old Appy days, not sure how long the drive was but it felt like about 15 plays and 10 minutes.

I hope the good people from Richlands has some designated drivers...thats long road home if people are drinking...safe travels..😲🤔😆 

Am not sure if Heritage High school is in the Roanoke times top 10 picking area...
I did see were they played Vance High school from Charlotte NC and lost 35-7...That's a very TOUGH week one opponent (Nothing to hang head about)
Vance has a good shot to win state in 4AA this year...

Yea my son played 5 years ( Spring league football) in Charlotte ... 3 of the years was with a coach that worked and his son played for Vance....His son is now a Soph. LB at Missouri.

Regardless of the reason Richlands lost to GC, that, by no means, indicates a loss to Union. 
These teams know each other and always play their best. It will be a close, hard fought and exciting game as always.
The Bear's coaching staff, players and fans have a lot of respect for the Blues.

2017? The score was 35-0 ....That was NOT close.
 
 

I was not at the game, but it’s my understanding that VHS had -17 yards of total offense and 3 turnovers in the first half.
No offense to Union, because they will be in the mix this year in 2D, but the 2017 Bears put 40 points up in the first half against this year’s Bearcat team. The 2018 Bears would have put up 30 in the first half.
I’ve been told by more than one Union fan, whose assessments of high school football I trust, that the 2019 Bears are a little different than we’ve grown accustomed to over the last few years. Not to say they they are bad by any stretch of the imagination. Quite the opposite on defense. I hear the defense will be quite good. I’ve also been told that the offense has quite a few kinks to work out.
I’ve had a relationship with VHS sports for over 30 years as a fan, a player, and as a dad of two athletes. I hope every year that the football program becomes relevant in the region like the baseball program has been for over 4 decades. Even though VHS has been competitive in 3 of the last 4 years, this is going to be one of those really tough years, record-wise. The kids will fight hard every game, but sometimes a team just has a lot of cards stacked against it. This is one of those teams. 
Nobody hopes I’m wrong more than I do, but I guess time will tell.

Union should win easy as long as we can run the ball because passing game needs a whole lot of work
