V High probably has the best player in the swd with carpenter returning and apparently he has a little brother/cousin who is already his height as a freshman. Lebanon loses their big man to the transfer portal but that might actually be a good thing since that will allow Reece to get the minutes he deserves.

In the SWD, I think Graham takes the reigns back from V-High.  Graham returns most of the team, plus a couple of key additions.  V - High lost their big man and a couple of key players.

As the undefeated defending state champs they’re for sure #1. To be the man, you gotta beat the man and right now Graham is the man! 

This shows just how good Graham is. I watched 3 JM playoff games last season and their defense was the real deal and they returned most of the players from that team on both sides. Hope to see you bring another title back to SWVA G-Men!

If Abingdon is that slow, it almost makes you wonder if the scrimmage helped or hurt the Beavs.

Guys football is a violent, tough sport and even at the HS level can lead to lifelong injuries or worse. Why should we begrudge a kid if a local restaurant or car dealership wants to give them a few dollars for an endorsement? 

as long as it’s done in the open by independent businesses and not people trying to build some sort of super team by paying players, I see no issue. 
 
it’s a win/win. In a football crazed area, getting the star QB to do an IG post or come hang out for a day and eat their hamburger would be a small boon for a place and the kid gets to put a few dollars in his pocket. 

District championships for the JV no longer a thing for the SWD. The reason I heard stated was it "Too much work" for the host teams. Which is a big load of BS honestly

Better beat Gmen now because next 4 years they gonna be hard to handle 

Anyone heard about Graham middle school basketball ? They gonna tough for few years on the high school level..  

I do believe Bluefield has kids from different schools also if not mistaken…. Also the running from down the road too

Cmon man, you can see how someone on the outside might think it's a little corny or silly. I'm not saying they shouldn't do it and I'm seriously happy for the kids who have worked so hard, but it's not often you see a team having a parade from a regular season game.
It reminds me of the way Wise celebrated when they ended PVs streak in 99 so maybe I'm being biased lol
