Sadly, this is spot on. Out of the 20 players on the team, 10 of those are freshman. Knowing this, why in the world would you schedule all of these heavyweights? Just doesn't make sense.

Yes, he is a great motivator.  Ahmad Bradshaw is volunteering this year and is playing a bigger role with coaching.  Graham is lucky to have several good coaches that can motivate players.

That's sad to hear. From what I've read about him, every team could use a big Mike on the sidelines.

This is a big part of the problem at Virginia High. Just take responsibility. Your basketball team was out of control and they had 0 discipline for a majority of the year. You can compare them to a million different schools or events but it's not going to change the fact that the basketball team embarrassed your school system. There should be consequences handed down starting with the parent and coaching staff and then the players. 

1. If true, so sad to see racist comments were made. 
2. Embarassing situation for the school for the behavior of the parent and players. 
3. It's time we have metal detectors for all high school ball games, and all bags be checked just like for any other event that people attend. These gyms are just tinder boxes for something violent to happen as emotions soar. If there was anyone there with a weapon other than law enforment, that is down right scary.
4. State Tournament games should not be held in high school gyms.  Period.

Bristol City Schools should be ashamed of how those players, coaches and fans represented their school system last night. It is 100% an adults in the room problem. I am by no way saying the players acted are not their fault but they learn that from somewhere. You cannot tell me it is a school issue because basketball is the ONLY sport it is that big of an issue in. Patterson does a great job in the summer and the fall of teaching these boys how to be men, giving them discipline and learning how to act during competition but then it is like they forget all of that once basketball starts. Then when baseball rolls back around (at least when Daniels was the coach) they go back to having decent sportsmanship. The way some of the players on that team ran there mouth to Floyd's students section, the officials, and each other was hard to watch and they should have been on the bench. If they put the same focus on the game that they did on talking trash then the game doesn't even go to overtime and we get to watch Graham VA High for the 6th time this year. Instead the coaches and parents of those players allowed them to act like that and probably reward that behavior and VA High finally had a crew of officials that were not going to take any crap from a 17 year old kid and it cost them. 
I really hope the guy that stormed the court thinking he was some kind of bad ass spent the night in jail because as much as I love high school sports at the end of the day it is a game and its not that serious. They are getting all worked up just to get the chance to lose to John Marshall by 40 in the championship game!

That coach has no control of that team or his own emotions.  Exhibited numerous times this season.  

Agree.  They got away with it all year long.  It bit then when it meant the most.  Not at all feeling sorry for them.

Dear whoever sets up the NFHS feed at Graham,
Please don’t do the same thing that Va High did tonight

I got ahead of myself if Lebanon beats Va High and Graham does too then Graham would host regions. No matter if Va High finished 1st or 2nd they need to avoid Battle first round of regions, even though they beat Battle twice Battle is a bad matchup for them, they have no answers for Portel Gobble. I believe it was this past Wednesday Battle had the lead going into the 4th and outplayed them it was just a 2 minute spurt that Va High blitz them that decided that game 

It's the SWD turn to host, if Graham beats Va High then that would force a neutral site game between Va High and Graham for the conference regular season champs, currently right now Graham is the better team and I'm going with Graham beating Va High setting up the 3rd game for the conference 

yup, 35 point spread at the half and both coaches have to agree to the running clock. 

Think it's 35 but not sure.

I heard they dropped Grayson but I haven't heard who they picked up in their place.
