Thats a mistake on my part, Tennessee High is playing Daniel Boone this week, Crockett is 10/16.  Im gonna try to catch Crockett at some point  

I have seen in person twice and he is legit, I have seen him on TV but you can't watch the way he moves fully on TV you have to watch in person!

Not in SW Va. but Prince Kollie from Davy Crockett in Jonesborough committed to Notre Dame over the weekend, he plays linebacker and running back.

Their assistant recruiting coordinator played at ODU.  Possibly has more connections to this area because of it.

NCAA DI football has a dead period during February, then a quiet period through mid-April, all of which means they can't attend games or practices to evaluate kids.  They would have to do it by film only, or already have an idea of what type of player they are recruiting.  But yes, this is after both the regular and early signing period, so most will have already signed by spring and the money will already be committed.  So for recruiting purposes, spring football is a bust.

If Adkins wants to transfer, why not go all out and spend a semester at IMG? That's a giant step up in competition, facilities and coaching. Could be huge for his development. 

This article just dropped about 10 or 15 minutes ago. Looking like Athletes may look else where for better playing opportunities this football season.  You have to do what's best for yourself  it's a Business Decision especially when Scholarships are on the line.

Bluefield names it's score versus Tennessee High!

I'm glad some are putting their futures first but it's a shame alot are having their Senior year football season's ripped from them. Those are some of the best time and memories that last a life time. I can see those D1 guys and kids that are on the verge of getting that D2 or D1 offer moving to where they can play their Senior season an get game tape for coaches to see. Another option I'd use if I was in the situation relclass to 2022 and get a extra year of prep football which help increase your chances of getting offers 

It's happening all across the nation, these top tier guys aren't going to risk it! I don't blame them. This is really going to affect the multiple sport athletes.
 

Looks like Feb for football to start.  I dont see kids like Adkins and those others with Power 5 offers playing until May then go to college and start practicing a month or two later.  I see some graduating in Dec and starting college early.

Speaking of talent at Bluefield, it appears that Isaiah Johnson moved to the left coast. Had no idea he had moved, but I had seen rumors it may happen.

What do you all think about all the D1 TALENT in the SWVA area right now? I'm not from here but I feel like this is best collective group of athletes the area has produced in a long time.
You Got Martin Lucas committed to ASU Trenton Adkins will be playing P5 ball as well. Josh Herndon holds 1 or 2 D1 offers I can see him playing at the FCS FBS level easily. Then you have 2022 guys. Brody Meadows is a Top 100 Recruit in the Nation along with Zay Bradshaw who picking up P5 Offers as well. Sage Webb picked up his 1st offer from Morgan St I think this week or last. He got invited to the ESPN 300 ELITE Underclassmen Combine hes gonna really make a name out there. 6 guys from the area should be playing on TV on Saturdays so far and there could be a few more. That's not including all the talent Bluefield put out last year.
 

........and when I program like OSU (although I am not a fan) shows you the love, other teams take note. Could start an avalanche of offers.

Ridgeview wins toss and defers to 2nd 

RV is the king of getting upset at home in the playoffs. That’s 5 of the last 7 years for coach Mullins teams. Very frustrating. Congrats to Central.

Polier is over 1800 so far. 
Crabtree at Central is over 1700. Atkins at 2700(which is ridiculous). Running game is alive and well in the M7.
