Thanks for nothing Ralph! 🙄. Ridiculous to have a 10,000 capacity stadium limited to 250 spectators which includes band:cheerleaders. It needs to be a percentage of total capacity.

We have been talking about this for a while now.  Band and Cheerleaders are considered spectators, players get 2 tickets each for family.  Not leaving a whole lot for others.  I saw where one school system is planning to classify their band members and cheerleaders as "participants" to free up more tickets.  Rumor is 30 percent capacity at beginning of march.  

This is the nightmare situation in terms of selecting teams for the postseason.  
 
Technically, the first of the two Graham/Richlands matchups doesn’t count toward the SWD standings.  If the region selects the cross-bracket model, it’ll be district standings that determine who advances.  In that scenario, the Top 3 teams are 1-1 against each other.  How do you break the tie to determine the Top 2?  If you went by VHSL Ratings Points, that’s also dead even for the #2 slot (Losses to 6-0 and 4-2 = Losses to 5-1 and 5-1).  

Not going to be cancelled.  We will know today by 3 pm if Liberty can play.  If Liberty can not play, Brigham Young will be coming to Conway to play the Chants.  If this happens, it will be a matchup of 2 top 15 schools and the Gameday crew will have a solid matchup.  Liberty would also be a solid matchup, but the winner of the Coastal vs BYU game will be in the Super Six for sure.

Thought some may be interested to know.  Andrew's paternal great-grandmother is my dad's sister.  We used to beat up on Chad and my brother when they were kids.  Wouldn't attempt it today!

I think there's a better chance of having fans in the stands in spring.  
I also think that several athletic departments are going to have budget issues when their fields are destroyed by essentially playing back to back seasons.

VHSL will stick to the plan in place to protect their a$$es. To many people on board with the spring to go against. King Ralph isnt lifting any restrictions till November when he will apply more restrictions to make up for the election, I mean flu season

Even with a contributing factor, the % of people who have died from Covid +1 is relatively low, Covid +2 (Diabetes, over 65, pneumonia, former cancer patient, etc) is very high.
Having had Covid, its real and it sucks, My health is relatively good so I handled it well, but if youre someone who has 2 of those contributing factors its deadly. Im young and like I said in relatively good health and it made me very weak, if youre already weak its game over.
Sadly, the original story on Covid from the media was basically "if you catch this you will die, look at Italy" and that has skewed everyone's perception. We now know contributing factors play a larger role in the death rate than Covid itself, generally speaking. 

Not really. A comorbidity is for example diabetes. If you don't have Covid, you're not likely to die of diabetes suddenly in your 50s or 60s. Covid is exacerbating the problem and causing things we would normally get through easily, such as pneumonia, and making them fatal. 184,697 Americans are dead because Covid made their health issues worse. 

I just hope we play; personally think Virginia could have had abbreviated season this fall especially after reading CDC’s revised numbers and data concerning Covid. We shouldn’t have to be watching ESPN to see HS football.  Predictions? I’ll take Graham for district just because I’m loyal. Regionals, no clue. 

I'll try to tone down my language I guess. I come from the "mean streets" (lol!!! I say this jokingly) of vapreps where I had a handful of people try to justify the rioting because "white people better learn!" to another guy saying that it was 100% okay that a county (of 150,000 people) out in Oregon only targeted white and asian people with mask mandates, threatened with steep fines, because "black lives matter!". I showed concern early on about how it seemed that numbers were being artificially inflated.. and got attacked and had the post removed because a certain Salem fan said I was a conspiracy theorist. Etc.. etc... etc... blah blah blah
 
The same ones complaining on here about my tone.. I watched them gang up on a James Monroe fan a few weeks back as being a "hick" so yea I havent held back on these same people.

Yep. And that is what concerns me with this situation. Everything from the way it was politicized from the beginning to the obvious inflating of numbers to the blatant disregard when it came to rioting, etc..etc.. it all is just so.. off. Something about the whole situation just does not sit right with me.
 
I've stated my fears that they'll target one race, religion or group at some point with this stuff. And just look at how these riots are going now. It's coming sooner or later.
