This is going to be a very unpopular statement I'm sure but here goes. Tazewell does not have any tenacity whatsoever. Athletes all over the field in the skill positions but no fire in them at all. At the moment unfortunately neither does Richlands. It's going to be the battle of the Tazewell county Eeyore programs When they play each other. Maybe Pooh and Piglet can get them fired up for the James Ramey trophy.

Well at least those kids from Tazewell got to stay in a nice hotel.

IMO, I think additional polls would be unnecessary and redundant.  It's simple enough for anyone interested to separate out the 1A teams in the order of their total points. 1) Galax 2) GW 3) PH 4) Giles 5) Narrows 6) Holston 7) Rural Retreat...

Council flat out dropped football, then the "Rocky Gap Rule" was used to create the Council/Whitewood Indians.  That lasted two seasons ('96 & '97).
Rule 8-1-2 basically says ... 
Two schools in the same school division with a combined enrollment (ADM) of 300 or less in grades 9-12 may combine their programs for competitive purposes.
Subject to SB, district, region, group board and Executive Committee approval.

My entire point is that Richlands dominance in football is history, not that Greg Mance saw the upcoming talent level drying up and left for greener pastures. Richlands fans are fair weather and it’s a sad day for anyone in the HC position. Even worse for the kids. 

As stated above, this is a really shitty take from a usually shittyposter. TV had the best season in school history last year, an August coaching change, and the worst flooding the area had ever seen. Sucks they cancelled their season but this is not going to make or break anyone's season, except their own. The folks at Twin Valley have built that program up from nothing in a decade and this is very unfortunate. Its hard to get your "empathy" in this message when you are busy bashing them for something they had no control over. I very much doubt Crigger, or anyone else in that program wanted to shut down their team after one game, but it is what it is. 
Also why cancel the season after the flooding? That was an awful time for the community, and cancelling the program in July or August would've only made it worse. 

Tazewell is the new Tazewell County team that you are not allowed to have negative opinions about on this board.

It was. Outside of one play during Tazewell’s first offensive series, they were never a threat  to score until garbage time. Graham had started pulling starters on D when Tazewell scored the 8 points in the 4th. Graham also had 3 TD passes dropped in the end zone or it would have been a lot worse. I would consider anytime a team has running clock(no matter what stage of a game) a dominate performance.

Richlands wins the coin toss but that's it.

A community devastated by catastrophic flooding attempts to give their kids normalcy but by all means let’s think of the poor other schools losing a game/gate.
 
GTFOH with that…for real. Do I hate we are losing a game? Sure, but it’s BS to criticize those kids/coaches/admin. 

Pretty sure they shared the BDD title with 21 players last year-why would they have KNOWN they couldn’t have a full season this year?
 
Oh and I will pass along to the TV admin how a message board poster randomwordsbunchanumbers gave his thoughts and prayers and support for the flooding which therefore gives him the right to be critical.  Cheers!
