    How to put this tactfully...

Corporations such as those will not put franchises in locations that cannot produce enough reliable workers to ensure the franchise's operation.

Thoughts and prayers going out to the town of Appomattox and the surrounding towns and cities to that area. Saw where a tornado bad wreaked some havoc on them. Hadnt heard of any death or injuries yet....but hope that everyone made it out okay. Don't really know the full extent to the situation.

Edit: so far I've heard 3 deaths have been confirmed....among those 3 was a 2 year old boy. Reportedly, 7 tornadoes have touched down in VA during this crazy storm. Prayers for the families affected. Some scary stuff and it's hitting close to home!

1inStripes reacted to GMan in Piss on the IRS...
The IRS decides to audit Grandpa, and summons him to the IRS office. The IRS auditor was not surprised when Grandpa showed up with his attorney. The auditor said, ‘Well, sir, you have an extravagant lifestyle and no full-time employment, which you explain by saying that you win money gambling. I’m not sure the IRS finds that believable.’

‘I’m a great gambler, and I can prove it,’ says Grandpa. ‘How about a demonstration?’

The auditor thinks for a moment and says, ‘Okay. Go ahead. ‘

Grandpa says, ‘I’ll bet you a thousand dollars that I can bite my own eye.’

The auditor thinks a moment and says, ‘It’s a bet.’

Grandpa removes his glass eye and bites it. The auditor’s jaw drops.

Grandpa says, ‘Now, I’ll bet you two thousand dollars that I can bite my other eye.’

The auditor can tell Grandpa isn’t blind, so he takes the bet.

Grandpa removes his dentures and bites his good eye. The stunned auditor now realizes he has wagered and lost three grand, with Grandpa’s attorney as a witness. He starts to get nervous.

‘Want to go double or nothing?’ Grandpa asks ‘I’ll bet you six thousand dollars that I can stand on one side of your desk, and pee into that wastebasket on the other side, and never get a drop anywhere in between.’

The auditor, twice burned, is cautious now, but he looks carefully and decides there’s no way this old guy could possibly manage that stunt, so he agrees again.

Grandpa stands beside the desk and unzips his pants, but although he strains mightily, he can’t make the stream reach the wastebasket on the other side, so he pretty much urinates all over the auditor’s desk.

The auditor leaps with joy, realizing that he has just turned a major loss into a huge win. But Grandpa’s own attorney moans and puts his head in his hands.

‘Are you okay?’ the auditor asks.

‘Not really,’ says the attorney. ‘This morning, when Grandpa told me he’d been summoned for an audit, he bet me twenty-five thousand dollars that he could come in here and pee all over your desk and that you’d be happy about it.’

I, for one an guilty, but pledge at the end of last season to support my coaching staff and offer help instead of criticism. However we as former player and spectators are quick to bash and trash those coaches that give their HUGE time investment to make a good program, for 2k-5k more a year.

On another forum I browse, here was a good discussion, speaking of the hardships of coaching. So before I sincerely open my mouth about how bad coaching is I'll remember this.

Heartbreaking that a young man's life has to end in that fashion. That's a lot of grieving for a family, a school, and a community.

Basketball seating capacity is very suspect for the most part.  Gyms with bleachers measure the total length of the bleachers and divide by a certain number of inches allotted for each arse.  I personally take 1.5 of those seats.  If only Olive Oyls and Gumbys show up, no problem.  You can usually subtract 200 or so from the actual capacity in gym's with bleachers.

This was relayed to me from the East Rock AD who was putting together a proposal for hosting a regional...if I remember correctly, 14 inches were allotted for each hiney.  I may be off on that but I remember thinking that there was no way I could squeeze my family of 4 into the space allotted.

Gyms with chairbacks are at a disadvantage because they cannot fudge the numbers.  But(t), they are more comfortable.

I like Castlewoods being 2582 for football.  Wonder what size person they used to come up with that specific number.  JI Burtons probably lost some seating this year though with the change in visitors bleachers for football.

The old floor at Richlands was just like that at Clinchco.

I wish they'd kept everything the same and just put the wood floor down in RMS but I also think the Hilltop is a great place to end a date so what the hell do I know.

Great points about the evangelical disconnect.

The Republican candidates screwed the GOP hard. A candidate like Trump would never gather a majority of votes at a primary, and almost never at a caucus. However, 30% is much more attainable. Candidates like Christie, Paul, Fiorina, etc. who never had a snowball's chance crippled electable candidates like Rubio by staying in and cultivating their tiny, insignificant bases. In the land of 5%, the 30% man is king.

Trump will be the nominee, and Hillary may literally win every state that didn't once secede from the Union (and even some who did). And you have about a dozen jaded "party leaders" to thank.
