Sounds like it was wrote by a fan girl, not a journalist. 

And UVA lost to the team that lost to the SWAC team...

To further illustrate the point, consider the experience of the Southwest District from 1956 to 1970.
 
The SWD was founded primarily because certain schools (such as Marion, Richlands, and Virginia High) were deemed by the VHSL to be too large to continue competing in Group II.  Other schools (such as Saltville and Graham) presumably came along and joined the SWD because Group I was the only level of play that offered access to a recognized state championship at the time.  From a comparative standpoint, the SWD schools were almost always the smallest members within Group I and were at an obvious competitive disadvantage as a result.  Although I stand to be corrected, no SWD team ever won a playoff game in any sport within the Group I structure for the entire time that the district was part of that classification.  Graham was recognized as the 1962 state champion in football, but that was the result of a rating system and occurred after the title had been stripped from Andrew Lewis.
 
Whereas Virginia's reclassification in 1970 offered schools in our region the opportunity to play for a state championship (and for the very first time in most cases) in an equitable system, most NE Tennessee schools are still trapped in a system that resembles the VHSL from 1956 to 1970.

Sounds like they try to turn their home games into a And1 mixtape with that type of announcer.

Big Stone folks have worked well at Virginia in the past.

The kid from Hurley would have to be nuts to come to Richlands.  He would not get the carries here that he would get at Hurley.  Mance has a 1st team all state quarterback coming back, he is not concerned about running the football, especially in 2016.  I am hoping the pipeline gets turned off, I am in favor of developing talent from Richlands.  The long term effects of having annual transfers, which we are having conversations about every year, will eventually be a detriment to our kids and the program.  Not hating or throwing rocks, just my honest opinion.

When I lived in Charlotte I'd eat Moe's at least 3 times a week, Chick-fl-a once or twice a week, and I missed Pal's.
 
Now I live in Nebraska, and I miss all 3...

Corporations such as those will not put franchises in locations that cannot produce enough reliable workers to ensure the franchise's operation.

Heck yea,  we have 2 Taco Bells, 2 Micky D's, 2 Wendy's plus all the other fast food places,  I wish we would at least get an Arby's or better yet a Chick-Fil-A.........come on mayor,  get it done.....lol

That game meant more to Richlands than it did to Graham...

That game against Radford was in 1983. The Blues were led by Randall Dills, Fred Phillips et al. Radford was undefeated coming into the game and already counting on a state AA title. It was pretty enjoyable in a vicarious sense when Martinsville humbled them in the state semifinal.
 
The Michaels brothers (among others) took a really good George Wythe team down to the wire in '85. If Bobby Absher's shot hadn't rimmed out in the final seconds that RHS team could have run pretty deep into the postseason.

Hopefully for Richlands last years trip to GC in the playoffs was a learning experience.
