I really think the Beaver/Graham game tonight when it's all said and done will help both teams. 
Graham is young and talented but tonight's win shows them that they have some great potential. 
For Bluefield, I think this loss, right before a holiday break, will stew in them and show that they are beatable if they do not bring it for 32 minutes. 
Great job both teams, it was fun to be there, the 10th of January should be good as well.

To be honest, they had a great game plan last night.  They took it right at Hairston and got a couple of fouls on him early so he couldn't be aggressive.  Bluefield kept firing up threes, Graham kept getting easy bucket in close.  Not sure Bluefield was ready to go up against a team that had as many good athletes as they have.  Best high school game I've watched in a while.

That's just crazy! They're both gamers for sure.

Graham is at Bluefield tonight in the old high school gym.  I don't think it has the capacity to hold the crowd to show up.  I hear when they get to 1000, they are going to turn folks away.  Should be interesting to see how Graham stacks up.  Bluefield always fields a good basketball team and this year is no exception.  Still seems like Graham isn't in basketball shape yet, from what I've watched.  They play Bluefield again in a couple weeks, that might be a better indicator.

It's ok to leave things alone.

Imo VHSL should cut to 5 classes(maybe 4) and expand the playoff participants for the top 2 classes. There are a ton of schools in that enrollment range that are basically the same size, no need for different classes between schools with 1,200 students and 1,800 for example, and set a hard # for 1A.  

Competition would be better and the VHSL wouldn't lose any $

Virginia is watered down in my opinion. We should have at most, 5 classifications. Virginia has 317 schools playing football versus 125 in West Virginia. With only 125 schools, 4 classifications seems quite odd to me but then again, so does 6 classification with 317 schools so, what do I know?

It looks like 25 schools in AAAA, 30 schools in AAA, 29 schools in AA and 41 schools in A.

Seems quite watered down to me.

4 is too many classes in WV. It’s just not a big enough state with enough schools.  There’s like what around 30 teams in each class? Dave Walker and I think Fred Simon as well have both said four is too many in their interviews on fresh off the clock.

West Virginia isn't big enough for 4 classifications. 

South Carolina just enacted a rule for the upcoming season, schools are free to recruit and students can transfer out-of-season without penalty. However, any school receiving a student living outside the district boundaries must count that 1 student as 3 students for ADM purposes, whether that student plays a sport or not.

If VHSL were to adopt this unique system, LCA would most likely be Class 6.

Tazewell County has plenty of long term subs at the moment. There should be a job somewhere in the system for a new assistant hire. 

All-District/Region/State teams are subjective and highly influenced by biased coaches and teams win-loss record.
I know of a kid in the central part of the state that has several D1 offers and I don't believe he was even on the All-Region team.

Heard through the grapevine that late last night some guys in Red Ash were cooking meth and actually made an Ernie Hicks hologram so... I think we've found our coach.

No VHSL school should be held to a higher standard than Liberty Christian, including rules pertaining to transfers and recruitment.

All assistants and community members can do is either support or destroy, that's it. Any deviation from support is destruction. Know your role and push the program forward. Anything else erodes the HCs authority and hurts the program. HCs have a role too, lead and take responsibility. If they're not doing that then they're at fault.
Im not saying blindly follow but know your role and shut your mouth. Im not saying the HC is 100% at fault, but ultimately it falls on him. 

His staff will be star studded, bank it.

Once the transfer portal closes, you have an open competition at QB. You should know your starter after the Blue-White Spring Game.

So it is going to get exciting?? Haha
