yosef 10 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 We were in more awe of 71 . Peanut was very impressive as well but no awe factor. If we can keep the wide bodies off our linebackers we will win. Big big if

Hiltonian 11 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 I'm sure you can throw INTs in Southwest VA the same as you did against Nottoway. I look forward to it.

HawkeyeDan 20 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 I really don't think that is him. I honestly don't but if it is I really do apologize for this. Very uncalled for. redtiger and Deleted Account

HawkeyeDan 20 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 Ragland Has been the QB but was moved to the backfield in the Second half of the Dan River Game. I really doudt that is him posting that stuff tho. I wouldn't take anything that was said seriously there. they have a little more class than that.. Bigrhsfan 884 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 Man, I can't wait to see this bunch go down, and I don't care if it is GC or Marion or the Blues. I just want one of us to shut this clown up. No place for that kind of talk ! As a great American philosopher ( Homey the clown ) once said........" we don't play that " ! And hawkeye, I hope you are right and it is not one of their players. redtiger and GC_Quincy
HawkeyeDan 20 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 look man that is prob. one of you own clowning around. I know Ragland wouldn't take part in that kind of activity
GC_Quincy 582 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 I'm sure he wouldn't. He was too busy on Twitter around that same time calling Gate City overrated.
HawkeyeDan 20 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 I don't know anything about twitter I don't use it. I'm just saying I can't see that to him honeatly. He is a good guy and good football player. I think this is some poser trying to make Us look bad.
sixcat 2,934 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 Its easy to set up a fake profile on a site like this to troll. Someone I know, as a prank, got my password and posted some outlandish things claiming to be me on this very board a couple of years ago. Twitter is a little different. He has pictures of himself and teammates all over his twitter page. He is making some of the same kinds of remarks on Twitter as he is on here. For that reason, I believe it is him. If it is, why is he on social media of any kind at 1:30 pm on a school day? Based on the grammar alone, whoever is making those posts could use the attention in class! HawkeyeDan 20 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 That's why I say its not Ragland. But either way it appears that you all have your minds made up that is. So hope either way that all that is over with.
HawkeyeDan 20 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 I have a question of why Gate City has Train horn at their games? You have Cowbells and a Train horn. just curious of what the theme was for this to all come about?
stu_bean 1,058 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 And I thought only Tazewell/Richlands, Graham/Bluefield, or games of that rivalry got the smack talk going that much! Bigrhsfan and Ryan4VT

stu_bean 1,058 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 Used to be lots of good noisemakers at the games around here but somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the VHSL changed some rules a few years ago as to what is allowed "inside" the stadium. One of our fans had a truck horn mounted to a portable air tank. That was sweet!
HawkeyeDan 20 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 That is really neat. This guy has a good radio or pa announcers voice. Does he do the Play by Play?
Jason 299 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 Not anymore.
GC_Devils 38 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 The train horn is a homage to the 1970 Big Blue Cannonball (that was just posted). There used to be an actual train engine at games. The cowbells are newer, early 2000s I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but some reporter from a northern school called the field a cow pasture in an article. This prompted GC fans to make cowbells and ring them from here on out.
