Hokiebird7
Any team with a losing record don't deserve a playoff berth period IMO

It comes down to being a money racket by VHSL. It's not about teams that deserve to be in the playoffs anymore, it about the almighty $. BigWinners
Union volleyball keeps rolling, beating Lebanon in straight sets to win Region D title. They have lost one set the region tourney, and no more than 1-2 sets since conference tourney began. Gridiron60

1inStripes
Each region was able to decide how they wanted to set the playoffs up if I am not mistaken. They could have voted to take a bye and only allow four teams in but did not I guess.

Crazy It should balance out better in Class 1 next year. Some Region A schools are coming over to Region B to balance the four regions. But it is plain stupid and nothing more than a money-grab by VHSL. Most teams in Virginia would have to play 15 official games plus a scrimmage and benefit game in order to win a state championship, totaling what would essentially be 17 games. The NCAA doesn't want student-athletes playing that many games. Why should the state high school association? Mountain Football

I don't know, just spitballing.
