Graham like Union has had several instances this season where they too have shot themselves in the foot. I will say they’ve cleaned up the penalties a lot since the Tazewell game. Hopefully, that is still the case Saturday. One really hopes a regional championship doesn’t hinge on stupid penalties or self inflicted wounds. I think we all would love a clean, fair game that comes down to the last possession & that could very well be the case.

I'd like to say that Union has cleaned everything up, but I can't. Maybe not as bad as the first Graham game, but they are still doing things that shouldn't be happening after 12 games.

Definitely want a clear winner and not a bunch of "if only" regrets after Saturday.

You mean 5 years and 12 games lol!!!  The holding has been a problem for years.  I know Graham has had this problem also but they always seem to recover from their mistakes.  Would love to see the total holding calls on Union this season it’s gotta be well over 50

Lol Can't argue with that. Will say that I've gone back and watched some of the games on NFHS and felt that refs are very quick to call penalties on them.

Don't get me wrong, Union commits a lot of penalties, but a few were ridiculous.

I will say Graham earns most of theirs too but I agree at times some calls seem ridiculous. Overall, the past three games the officiating crews for Graham have been pretty decent. It makes for a good game when they give them a little leeway to play.

Last 2 Union games were bad. One crew was flag happy, the other couldn't find their flags. Of course, when these 2 teams get together, the flags tend to fly!

Graham-21

Union-6

There’s no way! It was a one point game in regular season. Don’t get me wrong I’d love that to be the final score but I think Union comes to make a statement and it’s close. I could be wrong but hope you’re right 😂

Graham looked really strong against a V-High team that appeared to be hitting their stride in the weeks leading up to that game.  Graham is a much better team offensively then they were in week 4.  Union will have to be on their A game to beat Graham, I believe.  Graham is healthy and their offense seems to finally be clicking.  The defense has been playing great all season long.  Union will have to spread them out and try to use Graham's aggressive play against them with mid level passing.  They can't be afraid to throw the ball.

We’re nowhere near as good as we were earlier in the season especially if Bunch is out.  I’d honestly be shocked if we score

The saying in these parts is “Union is Union” and Union is never to be taken lightly. Bostic gets some space, he’s fast. Chandler just keeps churning. He’s hard to bring down. He runs low & compact.

I think (or hope) Bunch is back this week. Noticed he was dressed out on the sideline this past week, maybe was just a standby as a 'just in case'.

We can only hope anyways.

Yeah hamstring injury it’s been a few weeks so might be alright now but those injuries usually take months to heal

Weather tomorrow calling for a high of 32, wind will be steady from 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

As someone who considers it "cool" when the temp drops below 70, I'm not sure I'll make it tomorrow. Low 30s with wind chills in the teens is tough on an old man.

Congratulations to the GMen. Sorry Turner can't get his head out of his butt long enough to give you guys a good game.

I don't think the outcome was much of a surprise to most people. I really think these 2 teams were very even, but the coaching is 100% in favor of Graham.

Good luck against Glenvar!

Yeah he’s gotta go.  I’ve defended him for years but no excuse for the pitiful job he done this year

Me too, and I agree. If nothing else, the play calling needs to handled by someone else.
