I knock the coach, not the kid. His behavior is Tolerated. His behavior could be modified. It's not. It's tolerated.  That's coaching and that's why Graham so often comes up short in big games. The little things matter.

Maybe...a team called Appomattox may have something to say about that

Correct about the QB but Union imo is more patient with the run. Graham seemed to bail early on the run. Other than the clock mismanagement by Graham the last series, the series before that when Graham got to the Union 11 and did their usual self destruction with a chance to go up 21-14 was huge.

That place was called "Cottons". I remember going there a couple of times in the 90s when I was traveling from Pembroke to the Grundy area for work and would stop in Bluefield VAs legendary "Cottons." I remember that G star well and remember the owner, Otis. Cottons is still the best Cheeseburger I've ever had and don't know what it was, but haven't found anything matching that. I talked to Otis some about football and he knew I was from Giles and he would tell me, "you boys run that Tomfoolery ball over that way." He was referring of course to the single wing.

You make your statement sound as if there is Zero, Nada, Zilch we can do to prevent Covid's assault on any team it chooses simply by chance. Therefore, I AM Not beating a dead horse, I am simply saying, if you want to play bad enough, get the needle in your arm.
Gazillionith time....if you get the shot, u do not need to quarantine if you've been exposed. This means, if the entire team gets the shot, you will not have one game cancelled. Why bring it up? Because people continue to post as if we are powerless with Covid cancelling games and that's untrue. We actually do have a method to prevent cancelled games.
It is ok and fine, nothing wrong with a person's choice to get or not get the vaccine. It's their decision. But, it's pretty clear if you don't get vaxd, the odds are high your team will shut down at some point. Because a person chose to make that decision to not get vaxd, is it really ok to complain when Covid cancels your game? I have no pity on any team that is cancelled because of Covid. They made their choice not to get the vax.

What if a whole team got vaccinated? I don't think contact tracing is included for those that are vaccinated. First team to get vaccinated could have an easy clean ride to the state championship if the chips fall right. Teams get shut down, have to forfeit games. Could be interesting.

Union fans, if early, do the following and you will have your best dog this side of the Mississippi. They close at 5, so get there if you can at 445, order 5 hot dog a piece. You are close to West VA, so when you say hotdog, that means Chili is on it unless you request no chili. The meat is never frozen and comes from a local farm to make their hot dog chili. It's called Double Gated Grocery, and this is the last year it will be open from what my friends in Big Blue tell me. It's been in Bluefield VA, inside of a neighborhood (weird, but the little place is inside a neighborhood across from Graham High School. It's well known for many miles away. Take it from this guy who has made the passage from Pembroke (Giles Co) to Double Gates Grocery for decades just for the hot dogs.
Take thess dogs and drive a Ross the West VA border and turn onto route 52 South which takes you on top of East River Mountain a couple thousand feet I the air and you can see/look down on both Bluefield (mostly the WV side). Eat your dogs there. For a memorable experience and looking back ten years or twenty years from now on your trip to Bluefield, the Dogs at Double Gates Grocery and the East River Mountain Overlook will be a memorable one. The overlook is roughly 4 minutes down the mountain and another 3-6 minutes to Mitchell Stadium. So, no more than 10 minutes drive.

The First Bolded part above is false, and..........The second (last) bolded part above is Partially true.  It should read, "so vaccine or not, Some games are going to be cancelled, but Less games will be cancelled with high vax rates."
So, it does change things according to the CDC.  The CDC says that.....if you are vaccinated and you come into contact with someone who has Covid, you do Not have to quarantine.  This means....you get to play.  You only have to take a Covid test in 5 days, but don't have to quarantine.  Yes, people who are vaccinated still get Covid, but the Amount of People who are vaccinated who are getting Covid is very low.  What is shutting down football programs?  Football players who are vaccinated getting Covid, or Football Players who are Not vaccinated coming into Contact with someone with Covid?  You and I both know the answer.  It's number two.  So yes, the statement stands, get vaccinated and you play.  Lets say a team had a very high vax rate of nearly 100%, the only people that would need to set out would be those who get Covid.  The other vax'd players could play, so you don't shut the entire team down.
By the way, the CDC say for people Not vaxd.  You get to stay inside for 10 days if you have been around ANYONE (just one student in shop, world history, or english class that doesn't even know how to keep score in football) who has a positive text for Covid.  This is what is shutting programs downs.  Kids on the team who are unvaxd come into contact with just one or two (only takes one) student who is in the school that likely doesn't even play sports, but has a positive Covid test.  IF those football players were vaxd and they came into contact, they wouldn't have to miss a beat.  They could literally practice that same day.

Bluefield, VA and WV folks would know this for sure, but if I'm not mistaken, The Railyard is kind of.......the old Cottons's.  Cotton's was the historic bar and grill in Bluefield, VA, that had the G Star in the middle of the floor that has been in this thread.  They were known for their cheeseburger, breakfast sandwiches, generous portions, and the owner was actually a World Class Pool Player.  I'm not 100% certain if it's the Railyard, but I think it is....when Cotton's closed, the Cotton's crowd/customers and the main cook went to the Railyard, even though there is now a BBQ place in the location of the old Cotton's.  Correct me on that Bluefield folks if that's not accurate.  I still think Double Gates Grocery hot dogs are the way to go if your looking for a memorable/historic/piece of history experience.  You will likely live a long time and find many great places to eat along the way, but you will not likely find many hotdogs this good in our future.

Graham, if healthy and they stay outside of their own heads can play with Appomattox.  Graham's talent is right there with Appo.  It wasn't talked about much, but I watched Graham at 2019 at Appomattox.  I watched that game and I'm telling ya now, the officials literally just took the game over.  Graham was exploding on Appo, and I mean literally with ANY big play, a flag was on the ground.  From called back touchdowns to first down plays for Graham that gained 30 yds only to be called back due to a hands to the face or illegal block resulting in a first and 25 which killed the drive.  It happened the entire first half.  There were many holds and illegal blocks I just didn't see and if those penalties are not laid all over the field, that game is going down to the final minute.  No offense to Union who is very good, but I want to see Appo travel to Graham, where they automatically are not the most athletic team on the field, and they don't have the friendly confines of Region C officiating.  I don't think the bad calls were on purpose in that game.  I just thought the officials got caught up on the emotion of the game and crowd, and it literally effected the outcome of the game I think.

No disrespect to Union, Ridgeview, or Central, but I favor the Falcons to run the table in the M7, if they actually get to play the schedule.  Christiansburg is a beast this year and Christiansburg has a very good chance to advance to the state semi's in Class 3, and Abingdon had them beat.  Hard to pick against Abingdon in the M7 with their offensive power that could be very difficult for Union and Central, if Abingdon were to jump out to a decent size lead.  Abingdon also, aside from C-Burg, may be a reasonable contender for the Class 3 State Semi's.  Either team, C Burg or Abingdon will not get past the semi's.

Agreed.  Graham must wrap up and make good tackles.  Obviously Graham has more weapons then last season with Bradshaw in the lineup   They have several good receivers and a good running game   The defense looks improved as well.  Union seems to be much better at this point in the season as well   It should be a great game.  Hope both teams are at full strength and I believe this to be a preview of the regional championship game.  Winner gets home field, so this is a super important game for this early in the season.
