This is insane and what’s wrong with sports right now you got kids quit because someone gets a job. People do not realize how hard it is to find coaches period! And we want to quit because someone is on staff. You already had one head coach step down because the star player wanted threatened to leave. It’s stupid back in the day your coach was your coach and you listened and got coached by him. If you didn’t like them you suck it up and play because of your teammates and love for the sport. And parents didn’t let them quit either

    Nothing about education is easy.
One of the most overworked, underpaid professions there is.

My wife is a teacher and I've worked in education for 23 years. I would disagree.
Being a classroom teacher with constant student interaction from 8 am to 3:30 pm, plus bus duty days with little to no breaks, M-F, in addition to using your planning period to remediate students and call parents.
Then, grading papers and answering student and parent questions throughout the evening.
I'm sorry but assistant principals don't even come close to that level of continuous work. You might argue that they deal with parent complaints, but these days, most administrators dodge, deflect and refer parents back to the teacher. If they don't, then the teacher gets yelled at, still not escaping. Remember, everything flows down hill.

Most of these schools, like on the West Virginia side, utilize soccer players as their punters and placekickers. It would work in Virginia too. Baseball number would shoot up most likely.

Let's be real though. Most kids who play soccer aren't playing football other than being a kicker/punter.
Kicking/punting can be practiced anytime, therefore a kid could practice both sports in an afternoon and no soccer is being played on a Friday.
Baseball and even softball for that matter lose kids to soccer because they can't do both for the most part as games/practices happen at the same time.

    ^ This.
Soccer should be in the fall.
Baseball is killing themselves with the bat rules. Forcing folks to spend $200-$500 every year for bats is criminal.

Yeah that’s what it seems like, family simply moved and she is going somewhere else. Kinda refreshing tbh, an athlete moving for no nefarious or self-centered reason.

Kelly green is so difficult to match up, whether its clothing or paint. I would like to see the wooden bleachers get replaced with metal ones.

Until I see his name submitted by Graham to the school board, I would bet money he would be returning to Richlands. The timing is too coincidental.

Record since he's been there after the first year has steadily improved and established some consistency.  Even beefed up the schedule but so far haven't had that big game to turn the corner.  Farthest they've made it so far, and who knows anything could happen Saturday. They've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Could be interesting. It's enough to stop the bleeding of losing athletes to neighboring schools.

You make some valid points but I am unwilling to forgo the points I have made in this thread. I believe mine to be just as valid. Two things can be accurate to some degree, at the same time. I also don't think anyone is suggesting this kid should be recruited by the SEC. He's a great high school QB. Something our area doesn't produce a lot of. Lots of kids in our area have had arm talent. It doesn't make them any more of an SEC recruit than Creasy.
As for the quoted section above, the New England Patriots and New York Giants were regularly accused of having "system" QB's in recent years. How are those "systems" working now that those two QB's are retired?

This area still hasn’t adapted out of the smash mouth football mindset.

Systems like the run and shoot and air raid were designed for your receivers to be an extension of your run game. You get your best athletes in space, find the soft spot of the defense & let the QB get the ball out quickly. The quick hitters and screen plays are basically your 5 yard run plays which ultimately forces the defense to move closer to the line of scrimmage which opens up the throws over the top.

Another thing that offense does on a high school level is it keeps the interest level high for the players. Kids don’t want to be fullbacks and tight ends anymore. They like to emulate what they see on tv. How many college/pro offenses are lining up under center and pounding the ball in to the middle of the defense? They’d rather be a Tyreek Hill than a Patrick Ricard.

Tazewell has 11 different players on the roster that have caught a touchdown pass this season. There’s been two separate games that Creasy has thrown 6 touchdown passes to 6 different receivers.

I’m not arguing those stats in this situation to say that he’s better than any other quarterback. I’m just using it to show that everyone is getting involved, they’re not force feeding anyone.

First off, why would you want your QB throwing 45 yard bombs into double coverage?
Secondly,  why is arm talent, and by your previous post you are referring to arm strength Mel Kiper, Jr, the standard by which you measure QB's? You know who had great arm talents. JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf. Both could throw the ball further than Uncle Rico in the rain. How'd that arm talent work out for them? Today's game is mostly the screen game, that's why the Running Back market has dwindled in pay. Why would you not want your best athletes to have the ball in space?
