Jags52 got a reaction from Gridiron60 in Tazewell vs Graham
If Graham stacks the line they are going to be in for a long night. Tazewell have the passing attack to take advantage of that. I think you have to play a light box and make them run the ball to beat you. Graham is balanced only in the since that they pass and run attempts are close to equal. Anything longer than 10 yards down field is iffy at best. QB edge goes to Tazewell for sure. Both defenses are pretty solid but over all I would probably lean Graham there weak spot is the backend and Tazewell can make you pay there. This is going to sound crazy but I think this game comes down to special teams. Can Tazewell convert on the 2 point conversions since they dont seem to like to kick PAT. Will Graham block a punt? Will one of these teams return a kick for 6? If there has been a year to get Graham in the SWD over the last 6 year it is this year and Tazewell is the only school with the fire power to do it. It is sad however that due to power points even with a win they are still behind Graham in seeding. I predict we will have a rematch second round of the playoffs.

Expert analysis. I bet you put money on one team on FanDuel, while betting the other team on DraftKings. Hey, cant lose right.

Jags52 reacted to Observer in Rain in the forecast for Friday.
I'm tired of seeing the social media posts complaining about games being played tonight. It's football; an OUTDOOR sport!!! One mom even said she was going to have a talk with the principal if her son ends up getting sick 🤣

Chilhowie at home is definitely an advantage for them. They usually evaluate when the crowd gets into it. The place is usually packed too. I was there tonight and I think Rye Cove is easily the second best team in 1D I would expect a rematch with Honaker for the region championship. I would say that have a chance they have a pretty solid Line and 3 or 4 guys that run really hard including the QB which is dangerous when they are in 10 personnel. When it gets cold around thanksgiving the team that can run the ball and stop the run usually wins. I hope #16 is okay he was on the ground for a while in 3rd.

Jags52 got a reaction from Liam McPoyle in Rain in the forecast for Friday.
Marion spent well over $10,000 to fix that problem with new French drains about 4 years ago. I think it was actually because of that graham game and the fact the infield turned into a pound after a light drizzle. They put French drains from left field down through where the short stops plays, one that runs from center underneath the away bleachers and one down the visitors sideline because of how bad it was at that Graham game. However in true Smyth county fashion they took bids and picked the cheapest option.. that option was a start up company that had no clue what they were doing. The result was the drains being too shallow, golf ball size rocks that just pop up on the infield, the grass above the drains being dead in March, and about a 6 inch deep rut where those drains where put in. It is an absolute miracle no one has broken an ankle in the outfield or in foul territory behind 3rd during baseball season. Oh yeah and the drains don’t work forgot to mention that

I attempted to translate Dook's post. Not to brag, but I'm somewhat fluent in backwoods gibberish of the mentally challenged. The last sentence was confusing, until I remembered Poca sits in the shadow of an AEP power plant.
Just'n wunt to applegize. Eye m coatchin one mo time. Up'n her n Poker. Eye m a DOT . SEW kew! Dook iz sew koo. Bye da wave! Unk Vern teared up, dat 70 sum figurez aloud. 1 mo ting. Dots R powr waze inning a sintcents!
Just want to apologize. I'm coaching one more time. Up here in Poca. I'm a DOT. So Cool. Dook is so cool. Bye Wave! Uncle Vern teared up, that 70-some figure allowed. One more thing. Dots are power waves in a sense.

Jags52 reacted to Liam McPoyle in What are the coaching supplements Head and Assistants in most counties?
Agree 100%...I was just being sarcastic. It's extremely frustrating that Smyth keeps losing quality teachers/coaches to neighboring counties.

Depends on if Rural Retreat lives up to the Coach Rhea standard or not on offense.

RV is 6-0 but has a grand total of 10 rider points off of those 6 wins. For the record that is the lowest total in all of 2D. Richlands is 0-6 and has 26 rider points. Strength of schedule is going to come back to bite the Wolfpack in the butt this week. I havnt seen RV play at all but I have seen Union and Union is so much better than anyone RV has played this year. I’m gonna say RV is not ready for this level of competition and union rolls.
