Honestly, I think they should have tried to have fall sports &. if need be once it was underway if circumstances warranted then look to cancel or move. There’s no perfect solution I know and you can’t please everyone but kids need to be in school for more than just educational reasons just as some kids need extracurricular activities.  We’re putting them in classrooms and on busses together, but we can’t put them on a football field. Kids are the lowest risk group and now we’re learning numbers aren’t accurate but I digress. I hate it for all of them but especially Seniors. 

In his case and I am sure many others around the state he could graduate high school in December and enroll in college in January.  That would be very beneficial to anyone wanting to play early in their college career.

It’s easy to kick a team while it’s down.  Folks most teams here in far SW VA do have the lean years and with the declining population it will seem to be getting worse.  Just remember one day it is highly possible your team will be one in those lean times. 

Polier and Guerrant is going to be our biggest loss. Other than that. We start a lot of sophomore and JR and some freshman come into the mix. Honeycutt and Satterfield 

BIG Facts your are keeping it real about that lol  I wish play calling was better for the WHOLE team. I'm sorry Coaches put RV on bad situations on both sides with calling 

The only real way to compare apples to apples is if they are running behind the same offensive line, which they are not, so all comparisons are subjective.

Regardless of Competition who's putting up those numbers if they play the same exact schedule?????

Not bashing him at all but when you talk about Thomas Jones that's rare air. Jones with his amazing vision and quick cuts could gash you up the middle as well not just on the ends and could deal out a bit of power and punishment as well. When Adkins tried anywhere but outside it was ugly. I wish nothing but the best for the young man,but the comparison is just not there. We can talk about how good Union's defense is,but EVERY week in the LPD and even non-distric TJ lit up good defenses. Ridgeview hadn't faced a good defense until week 7 last night,so I don't put a ton of stock in those gaudy numbers. Having said that he is good enough to play at the next level (just not sure where).. 

If Polier is not D Player of the year in Mountain 7 then folks we have a problem. Could even argue for O player of the year also.  Yes Adkins has 1500 yards but look who those yards come against.  All im saying is Big time players have big time games when its a Big time game like tonight.   Sproles is good but does not hold a candle to Polier.  And I thought this last year as well. Ridgeviews very weak non district games have caught up with them.  The HUGE line got knocked of the ball on both O and D and linebackers were for the most part ineffective.  Just think they still have Abingdon and Pikeville yet to go.  Gonna be interesting to see how it plays out.

I don’t really think it’s an argument? Adkins has no business winning POY awards after tonight. Polier out played him, his team won the game and Unions schedule is much more challenging than RV.
