That's one of the carziest things I see around here. There are a lot of good coaches, but clock management seems to be a weakness.  Like the Rv game tonight. We have a player late getting in on an extra point.  Less than a minute to go with all 3 time outs. Instead of taking the 5 yard delay of game we call a t.o.  leaving us with only 2 and Blufield is able to kneel out on 3rd down instead of having to try and get the 1st.

I don't mind them running some of the time, but you are correct. They should be passing. It doesn't have to be long passes. Just run screens and crossing routes. Easy throws that gets the players in space. When they did that in the 2nd half at Union they moved the ball effectively. It doesn't have to be bombs all game either.

I like this RV team to makes run next year, but I’d like to see some more depth. You just can’t have a lot of players going both ways and expect to win a state title. I could be wrong on that, but I see that as a problem for a lot of teams around here.

I’ve got Graham 1 and Princeton 2. After that it does get pretty hard. Don’t one much about Princeton, but they’ve not been beat yet. 

3 years later they were undefeated and won the schools only state title! 

I was going by hearing that Appo dropped 71 on Nelson County tonight, and come playoff time they just seem to get rolling. 
Hopefully I'm wrong. I'd like to see 2A and 1A be competitive for state titles.
 

I think the Union fans need to calm down a bit. Your season isn't over by any means. You lost to a team that has a legit shot at winning region. You still for the most part control your own destiny. Plus its pretty obvious that there is no clear cut favorite to win the region (maybe Graham).  The playoffs around here in 2d should be really good. Especially the semi and championship round,. 
Then we will sacrafice that team to Appomattox for Peace on Earth!

I'd probably be better if they could possibly meet in the middle around Jenkins, Shelby Valley, or Pikeville.

Thanks for the updates. Didn't watch the game, but I wouldn't put too much into this one way or the other. Abingdon just played 5 nights ago.  They got what they needed which was the w. Now they get 10 days off before Ridgeview and Union back to back.

Oh no question, and Central too currently.I’m just saying historically Appy , PV, cwood, and Haysi were always fairly consistent playoff teams. Gate City as well. Rv and Union have picked up those traditions and consistency.
