I can tell you about 10-15 screen names right know who are coaches of various teams and sports on this board. It happens A. LOT. 

I wouldn’t say that. They have 2 state championships in football to my knowledge. 
And they have made it deep in the playoffs the past few seasons. They have lost to better teams. Graham was simply better than Goochland, just like Appomattox was in 2016.

And they have multiple state titles so I think they have a good program...and yes they are good...sometimes you run into a team rhara just flat out better

A lot of people here know very very well what constitutes a good team. Far SWVA has produced many of them in the past. Riverheads is playing one of them this afternoon. Riverheads beat that same good team last season.

It will most likely be safe to play the championship on Saturday, even if the possibility holds up. 
 
Right now Sunday seems like the danger day, assuming it all holds up. Models are beginning to agree on the possibility. They’ll be more sure in a couple of days. 

I live in Roanoke and they are still keeping a close eye on it. At the moment they THINK—based on models—that any snow will be late Saturday night and early Sunday morning into Monday. It will probably change a thousand times before then. 
 
If it tracks the way the European model currently shows then it will be snowy. 

I am going to watch both games. Wintry weather is possible around here in Roanoke Saturday but I couldn’t care less. I am going. 

A statement win would be a win over Riverheads. 

May make the drive from Hershberger to catch the game.

I don’t recall Appalachia fans whining about field conditions. I have seen Appalachia smack teams around in bad conditions.

Bands definitely have a place in a football discussion. In the stands they are part of the atmosphere for the game. You have Tennessee playing Rocky Top, Vt playing Carry me Back, GC doing some of their pep tunes, etc. If fans and cheerleaders are part of the conversation then so is the band. 
 
Second, these days you see more shows with less familiar music because those shows win. It hasn’t always been that way. When Graham’s band was under Mr. Brown they would win with Blues Brothers. I think (don’t quote me) that Holston one year did a Michael Jackson show and got a superior at state assessment. I can’t remember. 
 
I see GC winning this game if they can hang on to the ball.
