I guess I will have to try out Wolfes on Friday night because we are making the trip down to Marion to watch my 2nd favorite team take on Marion and may as well grab a bite to eat before the game.....this should be a good game.....and I invite all marion and richlands fans to pearisburg on Saturday to watch us take on a tough Lee High team

I never said Lee was "no joke" I don't think....i expect a war Saturday in pearisburg for sure....safe travels to Lee to and from Pearisburg next Saturday

I bet Gate City wouldn't have a .500 record against Narz if they played now....and Narz's one win was in 1979 I think maybe 1978 when Narz was hell on wheels with Rusty Cook......and if Gate City plays Giles they may get to .500 against us...they are a very good team this year no doubt

Once you are on I-77 then take the exit for I-81 North and take it to exit 105 or 109(2 radford exits, don't matter which you take).....probably 105 exit is the easiest....once you get off that exit take it for about 5 miles or so until you come into town, right when you get to Sonic(on the left) look for Union bank and turn up the steep hill beside the bank and go up the hill and the football field will be over on the left(hard to see but i'm sure you will see the school and the cars for the game

Was keeping up with your game all night even though we was in a dogfight all night long with a well coached and very physical Galax team....Glad to see my 2nd favorite team beat that WV powerhouse. Keep it rolling blues!!! That's a good coach you guys got there LOL

Giles didn't play very well offensively IMO tonight but still got a big win.....My thoughts on Graham are....they have some talented kids and some good sized kids but look to be VERY poorly coached....I may be off on this but it's just my thoughts after seeing them only once tonight.
 
I do know one thing #12 for Graham took numerous cheap shots tonight and if he played at Giles doing that stuff he would have been on the bench....totally uncalled for IMO.
 
Game was 55-13 and Graham scored on our JV then got the onside kick and scored again with their starters still in I might add....hey coach let the other kids play at that point, they practice all year too

Very tough start to the season and I know you guys aren't use to it but it's time to regroup and get things going in the right directions from here on out...Very tough schedule to start the season but I have confidence Mance and crew will get things straighted out and you guys will have another succesful season and we'll see you guys making noise in the playoffs.
 
Just sit back and take a deep breath Blues fans....the season is far far from over guys....Giles has started 0-2 many years then came back with a run in the playoffs so it can be done...and your coaching staff knows what they have to do....won way too many games up there over the years to fold tent now

I love the idea of playing somebody as good as Belfry,  as stated before,  it should be a great learning experience for the coaches and kids.  If you can compete with them on a fairly even level,  it could do a lot for the confidence of the players,  and show the coaches the strengths and weakness's of the team.
You just hope the opposite doesn't happen.
 
 
I agree with you 100%...what does it hurt to play someone who may be better in a scrimmage....I think that's one thing that helped Giles last year scrimmaging Hidden Valley,Pulaski Co then starting the season with Blacksburg and Christiansburg....we finally got over the hump and beat CBurg and I think it gave us all the confidence in the world and we got on a serious roll

Giles has most of their players back....Lost Rhodes(TE-DE) Boggess(LB-Wingback) Perdue(TB-CB) and had one LB that didn't come out this year that started his soph and Junior years....Our biggest question mark is our LB play this year and of course if our OL can gel together.....i think our OL will be just fine but losing Rhodes blocking will be hard to replace....We have Whitlow,Mann and Teats in the backfield(all are back) and Beidleman will probably be in the backfield some mainly at wingback and should be a starter at CB also.....our defensive backfield can all fly...tons of speed back there

We love any points difference in a state championship game whether it's 1 point or 20 points.....you can't expect anything less once you get to a title game...both teams are there for a reason...because they are pretty darn good and in the case this weekend both team were better than just good  and the game showed it....2 evenly matched teams and it's really a shame someone had to lose that game...but i sure as heck am glad it was brunswick that lost and not us.....i do feel bad for their kicker though...tough way to lose a state title game for sure but kudos to brunswick one hell of a football team

What a game between GIles and Brunswick....2 great teams trading blow for blow for 48 minutes and then some......Brunswick was as good a defense i've seen against Giles in many years...our kids refused to quit all season and today it was that attitude that pulled us through....big shout out to our seniors....what great leaders those kids were...and our coaches did a great job this year especially with the offensive line that was banged up about the first 7-8 games of the regular season...moving kids around and we never missed a beat....just so proud of this team and can't wait till next year cause we have alot coming back....but going to enjoy this one for a while.....game for the ages!

Plus I am proud to say I am a friend of the Richlands head coach...you know the guy that beat you not once this year but TWICE....VHS fans just give it a rest geez....maybe one year you will be lucky enough to play some December football...until then lace up those sneakers it's basketball season for VHS

First off Bearkitty Bob I will post what I want,when I want until a mod tells me different. And you and nobody other than a Mod or my parents will EVER tell me what to do or what to post on a message board....so you can SUGGEST what you want but it doesn't mean I have to listen.
 
Charlie was a great player no doubt about it but we have had so many over the years it's hard to pick just one....if i HAD to choose one I think is the best we ever had it would probably be Leon King....but Charlie was a great one too and a better person than a football player
