The youth program was not always weak.  It has fallen sharply in the last eight to ten years.  The key to a successful youth program is to retain and develop players.  Too many coaches trying to be geniuses or social icons.  That directly correlates to poor performances on Friday nights.  "Attracting" talent is a slap in the face to your hometown kids.  Retain and develop, both kids and coaches.

There's a guy out there named Mark Dixon. And while he might not bring them back to what they were they would certainly be better than they are now. It's been a disaster since the day they hired Wells.

Unfortunately with the referee shortage we’re going to see a lot a questionable calls with there being many new refs. I don’t feel like a ref intentionally tries screwing another team, just lack of experience that will get better with time. There’s no way I could be a ref and get criticized by coaches and fans an entire game, which is why ill never say that a ref decides the game.

Worst Richlands team I have seen in a long time. 
 
Up there with the 99 Richlands team that went 2-8. 

The coaching staff for Richlands is God awful. Jumping on the Tarter bus might have been a bad call. 

Lots of negativity from the Blues all over the field. They gave up after the first drive. Possibly the worst coaching staff I've ever saw in Richlands.

They stopped it every time someone went out of bounds. I thought it kept running regardless.

I do not understand these squib kicks on k/o when kicking from the 40.  Should be able to put in endzone for touchback.  Falcons did same last night againt LB and gave them good field position on the 40 and 45 yd line to start.   

Horrible non targeting call here at the fort. Even FC coach came over to check on player then called for ambulance and the emts just casually walk down the field with no sense of urgency.

Yeah officiating isn't problem but is funny when 3 refs throw flags and they decide there's no penalty

I turned the channel. It sounds like Union’s coach needs to work on having his team prepared. That’s two games Union has been on WCYB with these errors.
 
I wasn’t impressed with Union against Wise County Central. They were unprepared. I was impressed with Wise County Central. 
 

Happy to be down only 20 zip.  Apparently Union didn't practice with a wet ball this week

PI was iffy but Satterfield definitely recovered the fumble.  Hell one ref called 3rd down and the other gave ball to Abingdon.  Doesn't matter Union with no effort again except for a couple kids

Kind of confused about that personal foul call.
