Also. Every coach that I have EVER read about that interupted their coaching responsibilities to serve in WWII, whether drafted on enlisted on their own, got that job back (if they wanted it) when they returned. 

Yes he did. He was replaced as head coach in 1943 and 1944 and 1945. Actually left in the middle of the 1942 football season.

I now have a person that watched the game (Phelps - Montcalm) tell me it ended 50-0. One of the great mysteries of our time!

Bluefield now has a different QB. Did not throw well vs Pikeview but was playing in a downpour in Bluefield.

Ridgeview has played nobody. It is very hard to tell if they are great or just a lot better than bad teams.

Narrows has never beaten James Monroe. Bad year to put them back on the schedule. Won't win this year either.

I just don't hink that kids and parents want to make the time commitment that is needed. Remember. Back in our day the vast majority of players could walk to school and practice. That is not the case now. It creates expenses and time commitments that were not previously present for most players.

Graham will play John Marshall and Shady Spring, WV at the Virginia High basketball invitational next winter.

My favorites are all spread out.  Cincinnati - baseball. Washington football. Denver - NBA. Philly - Hockey. Nebraska - college football.  I root for WVU and Va Tech in college sports,

AT Howard did as well, for only the 1963 season.

And Tom Ferrell who was an assistant for many years and coached the baseball team at Bluefield. Was also a member of the 1963 undefeated Welch Maroon Wave.

They already split the gate. Have for years. Just keep that provision in the contract.
