😂😂😂😂😂 While we’re at it, so heard Tom Brady’s nephew is coming to play QB so Blevins can focus on being solely RB on offense and Terry Bradshaw is going to consult up in the press box. I’m not sure but I heard Blake Shelton is singing the National Anthem Friday night too!

I hope after round 1, games are on Saturday only because I’m selfish & would rather sit in the sunshine , lol. 

We beat Rustburg 17-6 who I think that year was the Number 1 seed in their region in 3A
Heritage 29-21 (game was 22-0 at half and the hot humid conditions had out starters (two way players) dropping like flies- Heritage "out benched" us in the second half to bring the score close) who went a couple rounds into the playoffs in 3A
Altavista 42-13 (they went 11-4 that year)
Amherst 35-12 who went a couple rounds into the playoffs in 4A
Goochland (who was undefeated) we beat 45-13 in the state semi game.
Richlands for the tile 42-7.
 
Riverheads was good too though but I wouldn't bet against that group from Appomattox.  They didn't love winning as much as they HATED the thought of losing, winning was just the by-product. 

If you bother with nfhs you can watch the 2015, 16, 17, 19 and 2020 games.

Graham "should" be able to rest their starters a bit against Blacksburg and Marion.  Heading into the playoffs at 9-0 with home-field advantage throughout and healthy is a big deal.  Getting through the gauntlet that is region D will be tough enough, however.

Anyone willing to predict a state Champion?  I'm putting my money on Graham.

I’m not putting money on anyone except Appo, lol! Y’all are champions to beat. It’s a gauntlet for any team in C & D to make it. Graham can’t play like they did last night & make it to a state championship game in my opinion. King William & Nottoway seem to be hot right now. I’ll be interested to see how A/B shakes out. 

Those Clintwood all white uniforms  jerseys that were made of cheesecloth looked good but I hated because anytime I tried to grab one to tackle or hold …I mean block I would be standing there with a hand full of shirt

I fully agree with you about Nelson. Will say this tho. Appo played alot of the bench and kept clean uniforms in the game for 2nd half and stil managed to score and keep Nelson scoreless. Appo is starting to click better and in the next few weeks with no injuries or covid issues i fully expect to see a team more than ready for playoffs. Hate to bad mouth Nelson, i have to give them a ton of respect as they never quit and played with heart and left their all on the field, great bunch of young men.
