i looked at 1a region and was amazed burton qb didnt even make 2nd team. his team beat the qb who was 1st team and had 5 total tds against them. his team also beat the 2nd team qb in the region playoffs. his wide recievers made 1st and 2nd team but none of the recivers from 1st and 2nd team qbs made it. its a buddy system ans every body dislikes jimbo i get that but thats not fair to the kids at all.

Only one that comes to mind ironically is the half back seam to Jenkins against Richlands that went for a 70!yd TD. Kinda proves our point. 

I think inserting Gibson to corner and moving Jenkins to safety has improved the secondary quite a bit. It sucks for Falin though because I thought he was doing a pretty good job back there. 

I look at it the same way you do. But not everyone has the same beliefs and opinions. 

Oh look at us.....We are far superior to everyone else in every way. You just don't want to play us, wah, wah, wah. 
This is the same Abingdon wine and cheese we have been forced to consume for years. 
Face it, Abingdon is 3A playing down for travel reasons. This does not mean the world revolves around you and everyone must bow at your every cry and moan. 
It would be an easy fix if the school districts in Washington County could be slightly altered.

Now I recall why I never liked Abingdon sports...
 

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Abingdon chose to leave the SWD to go to the M7, correct? I don’t remember th VHSL making that choice. Abingdon did. 
And why the fuss when even the  coach at Abingdon said they wouldn’t have made the tournament finals anyway. They would have been forced to drop out to go play the regional tournament. 

gatecity is a 2a school playing in a 2a district. abingdon is a 3a school playing down in a 2a district so its not the same. if i was a 3a school i wouldnt worry about playing in a 2a tournament. i would be ashamed to accept the trophy. it would be like john battle playing in 1a cumberland district. there suppose to win that so whats the point. sounds like abingdon likes being the big fish in the little pond. win the region and state in your own clssification then youll have somthing to brag about. winning a 2a tournament and then not winning in 3a region does not say much about a team in my opinion. i guess some people like being the bully and beating smaller teams but unless you win in your classification youve not really accomplished anything.

I've seen Mac play for 3 years and would expect him to be back at GC next year. Don't know where these Oak Hill rumors are coming from but I wouldn't blame him for leaving either.  I really don't see what "Howdyfans" is talking about either. The actual quote from the Times-news is "McClung savored the chance to work against Mitchell who has received offers from the likes of Clemson and Tennessee to play football.  Mac said, "I'm a D-1 athlete too, so I knew what he had coming. Mitchell is athletic, but I've been watching film and I learned some tricks. Mitchell is a good guy and I love playing against him."  
As for the HUDL highlights. I watch these all the time.  Every player that shares their own highlights on twitter, starts with "check out my highlights" it's the signature on the HUDL program. It does that for every user.  So, it seems like you're just picking on Mac.  Also, I doubt you talked to this unnamed "Arby's Organizer."  They loved him and Zac, they brought in big crowds and said all they heard from Mac was "yes sir" and "no sir" when they were needed for photos.  I've also talked to referees at other games that were proud to work GC games to see Mac.  They said he's very respectful and confident.  He absorbs a lot of punishing fouls and what you call "arrogance" is probably him shaking off the opponents and their fans?
Your perspective seems very biased and I think Mac's character is more in line with his Times-news quote after scoring a school record 64 points.  He didn't seem interest in talking about his historic total but instead wanted to look ahead.  "I wasn't focused on that (the point total)...I was more worried about the outcome of the game. We're going to fix it.  We're not going to get dejected. "I wouldn't count us out yet."  He seems like a great kid.  you can check out what the kids twitter page has today: 

I was actually pretty good friends with Duffy in high school, I never had a problem with him, but yeah... he definitely stayed in trouble quite a bit.  He brought a gun to school once which was his final straw at Haysi I believe.
 
And I remember that Ervinton and Burton game at Clinchco where Duffy and Boo played lights out.  Instant classic that game was.  Still one of the best games I've ever witnessed.

we didnt make shots and richlands did. congrats and good luck rest of the way. but i will say this union was called for 19 fouls richlands had 7. for the whole game. its not why we lost but come on. too obvious.

GC was called for 7 fouls during the first 10 minutes of the game............at home. Refs must not have gotten the memo.

i was talking to a longtime jj kelly central fan tonite and he said some fans are wondering how tj is still coaching them. said that in all the years hes coached they have one winning season. i didnt relize this until he said that

don't know if anybody cares but eastside leads burton 24-15 at half. this game is for Cumberland championship. if burton wins they play again tom nite for region birth and number 1 seed

mcclung plays with passion not arrogant at all. there is a difference. he is better than anybody around here. I love the way he plays the game

It's usually the players with awful attitudes that Macs style of play bothers the most. He draws the worst out in them and you can tell within minutes if a team has that type of player. I myself have never seen Mac say a word to another player on the court....He smiles 24/7 and has a smirk but he has that at any point you ever see him on or off the court. He gets pumped up after a dunk or a really nice play but he usually just looks at to the crowd to pump them up or something like that....Nothing to merit getting T'd up over.
 
I like when players have the edge on the court that Mac does. His desire to be great is evident...And he leaves everything he has on the court. Not everyone likes it, but every player that's worth their salt has an edge/intensity to them.
 
And in response to Unchained....I don't remember anything happening between GC and JSB. Only in the Wise Central and now the Abingdon game. Battles coach did get a technical for some reason but I never did figure out why and I didn't see anything happen on the court that would have caused it.

union also won early season tourney at uva-wise so they play well up there

I just can't wrap my mind around Lee beating Central. I've only seen Lee play once this year (at Union) and it was rough. I mentioned in another thread that Central had declined more this season than I have ever seen a team decline. They played Union very tough early (at UvaW tourney, then again at Union) but when Union went there and now this one, I'm not sure what's happening. Maybe it's karma.

yea he went a little brain dead tonite. hats off to ridgeview. they didn't flinch jus kept playing. they had 3 girls with 4 fouls the whole 4th qtr and only one fouled out. like I said it was the coaching tonite. I don't say that a lot but it was obvious
