CriticalNoise got a reaction from Fairlawncat in should union get a new head coach
Travis may be the head coach and not the issue, the supporting staff may be the issue, but Travis is the “boss” and needs to step in and take over if things aren’t working. Instead of sitting back and throwing his hands up.

The question is not if Union should fire Turner. It is when Travis leaves who are you going to replace him with. There are loud rumblings that the head coach could be gone before spring. Now like all rumors until it has weight to it its still just a rumor. The problem Big Stone and Appalachia have is that if Travis actually leaves for a bigger job is the remaining staff that could be promoted to head coach. If Union goes within then I believe you will see a huge drop off in wins and kids playing fall football for the Bears. The kids know what the problem is and its not the head coach but who is standing on the sidelines beside him on GameDay. The supporting staff that Union has is a complete joke. From the defensive coordinator having a gold plated Ps5 remote trying to run Madden 2021 defensive sets that he finds mid game on the big screen they have on the sideline to the buffoons wearing backpacks just clapping their hands and smiling cause they get to wear coaches gear every week. I feel sorry for Travis because he trys so hard with the hand he's dealt and every year its the same product year. People are dunce if they don't see the sideline as the problem. I know everything falls on the head coach but in wise county you have to hire county employees to be the coaches sometimes a regular person gets to help on jv or 8th grade but the rule is that coaches have to be county employees. The man has both hands tied behind his back and still has Union as the premier team year end and year out. The sideline is full of clowns that have held back Union since they have been here. Some longer than others. Time to clean house on the sidelines and get some people that are hungry for championships! Not worrying about what toys they have in their backpacks on Friday night.
This is my first post. But I've been reading since the lpd forum. Just needed to rant.

I'm not knocking him in the least because he is a special player but hiw much more effort would he have to put into his play to get the same recruiting if his name wasn't Bradshaw?

CriticalNoise reacted to BigWinners in Union vs Graham
If Union goes to Graham and wins, 100% Jenkins has a TD. Whether it's a return or a defensive play or a receiving TD, if Union wins he is gonna play a huge factor in it. Lomax is gonna be the focal point but getting Jenkins in space with the ball, in any way possible, is gonna be key.
The passing game keeps improving, the pass Bunch hit Jenkins on the Union sideline where 21 stepped out around the five was the best throw I've seen Bunch make. If Union can threaten teams downfield like that with that rushing monster of Lomax, Satterfield and Honeycutt, they're gonna be very tough to stop.

CriticalNoise reacted to Gridiron60 in Union vs Graham
Jenkins, Lomax, Bradshaw, & Meadows are obviously going to be the ones a lot of people will be watching and talking about. But each team is solid as a “team” and has a solid coaching staff who I’m sure instills a team mindset . I don’t think anyone intended to slight Jenkins. I think most of us Graham folks on here have much respect for Union’s ability and strength as a team. At the same time, one really can’t talk about Graham without at least mentioning Meadows (who is huge) and Bradshaw (who is lightning). They & other veteran players like Blevins showed great leadership on the field Friday night at Richlands. I guess just don’t read anymore threads involving Graham because I feel like Bradshaw & Meadows will still come up.

I don't think you'll see football in VA this fall.

The girls are ROLLING! A 50 point win over any team is impressive much less in the state tourney.
It'll be a much closer game Tuesday lol

You aren't very good at quotes are you?
Why are you so worked about a high school kid? Most teenagers are jerks, but it's way worse to be an adult trashing a high school aged kid on a public forum. Most teenagers can grow out of any bad behavior, I'm assuming you're an adult, what's your excuse?
I CANNOT BELIEVE I AM DEFENDING A MCAMIS ON A FORUM, WE ARE IN BIZZARO WORLD.

CriticalNoise reacted to redtiger in 2019 FCA East =West All Star Senior Game
Hes a fine player but hes not D1 so experience vs top level talent isnt that important imo. UVA-W, E&H, UPike, etc all have seen his Hudl film and probably saw him in the allstar game.
Would he have had a more productive high school career at GC or Union, most definitely but thats got nothing to do with playing for his hometown with the guys he grew up with and thats what really matters.

Central beat John Battle 60-44, Behind a big game from Elijah Hayes with 23, the rest of the scoring was McCamis with 21, Bishop with 7, Allison with 5, and Trey Mullins with 4 points.
Central girls also won but not sure on the final score of that game.
Centrals Boys and Girls travel to Orlando today to start playing in the KSA Holiday tournament tomorrow on 12/19/19.
I heard the game at Gate City was pretty rough last night..........seems like it is going to be that way throughout the M7 this year, hopefully nothing crazy happens.

I feel like every game is the worst officiated game these days. The pool of officials is very bad in this area.

CriticalNoise got a reaction from Burrall’s Pearls in Union 56 Eastside 52
Yes one of the EHS guys had either committed a foul or drew a foul on Bartee on the floor. Bartee is walking off and something is said, Bartee turns around and goes back and is in the kids face and the zebras separated.
A senior trying to punk out a freshman and it bit them in the back. Union dominated after.
on a side note: Union V girls went on a 19-2 run to finish the game and win

Union started two freshman, two sophomores and a junior. This group is going to be good in a while.
Bad night for Eastside, really struggled offensively. Had the game in hand, tried to punk the young Union kids and they responded. Led to a double technical and from that point on the Bears dominated.
Maybe for the first time ever, Eastside is the worst boys basketball team in Wise County.
