VHS, if they had a little more variety on offense could have very well beaten rv. Vanilla as it gets,  but undisciplined on both sides of the ball,  blowing assignments. Lee, VHS, and rich moved the ball fairly easy at times. 

Got word from his mom this morning. Broken rib.  Lots of precautions were taken.  He wanted to keep playing but when he left I was hoping it was just a bad stinger. Really wasn’t expecting a rib injury at all. 

Oh he’s been tough as a pine knot from the start.  Solid cover CB as a FR.  

If you're referring to Mike Compton, he has been at UVA-Wise for the past eight years or so. His current position is Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line Coach.

Lol 11 seconds that lasts forever,  crazy play.  Kinda like the first score by fritz, then this season with the fumble recovery for td. Seems like one of 2 every time they meet. 

Long way from the finish line for anyone right now.  Strange things happen game to game.  That being said,  Graham and RV are down not out.  Whoever makes it is going to have to beat someone twice or catch someone else who's gotten hot late. Several are always gonna benefit pp because of weak schedules just to host a playoff game, but it's gonna come out in the wash. Good luck, but keep things in perspective.  A lot of teams have not been district Champs but managed to win a state title.  Until they start mailing the trophy ahead of time,  play it one game at a time.  

Union will only win state if they play the backup QB. He's been begging to play. He's a natural leader. He gets the other kids to buy in. He's a salesman of sorts, and he can literally throw a football from one side of the Valley of Powell to the other. His name is Rico if I'm not mistaken.

Can Union win? Absolutely, as can Graham, Radford, Ridgeview, Woodstock Central, Clarke Co, Glenvar, Riverheads, Gretna, Poquoson, Appo...
 

According to stats and news,  qb lit up pineville last week.  No idea what they saw in Kentucky,  not on nfhs or streamed. Ridgeview probably gonna be a better test,  but they kinda on the struggle bus last week too trying to figure things out vs VHS, only decent test thus far.

Radford always has talent,  but discipline seems to be a constant struggle as well. 

Just my $0.02 on the game Gate City is banged up a little and Union is hot and coming off a huge win (Congrats Bears!) talent wins games but last year GC outcoached Union twice! I think Union is the better team but it is a rivalry game and anything can happen..

It's absolutely not a blowout (in my own mind) if Giles is on the losing end. If Giles is the 27 point winner, then it absolutely is blowout. I'm objective and neutral, like Switzerland.

Gate City could be 0-century and still come out hard against Union.  I believe it'll be another one score kind of game.  24-21 either way

Stats don't lie, but so often it's stats/yards earned against lesser opponents and j.v. backups late in a game when they shouldn't be in the game to start with.  
O'quinn, Anderson, Reece, Creasy, Meadows, Pendergraft, Gate City (Bledsoe?) not sure of name, Honaker's Qb (not sure either), Rye Cove Qb  ( NO PARTICULAR ORDER, OTHER THAN O'QUINN BEING FIRST)
The issue is schedule.  Several of these QB's aren't playing the same level of competition but will have great stats vs much lesser competition and playing late in some games when they shouldn't be.  It'll be the same with RB's.  Outside of Clements, it'll be whoever hits 1000 yards vs  whatever.  

Clements healthy gets his 120-150 maybe. Union D pretty solid, guess palmer wasn't chancing it after the fumble ignited the first half, but watching looks like 2D championship rematch in November.   Looking at VHS, who knows?  They play tough one week and not-so-tough the next.  Graham is struggling a bit but I see them rebounding and getting back on track this week.  It might not be pretty, but I think they get the win with or without Clements.  Pulaski Co is the only remaining game in question.  Losing B-Burg on the schedule might change their normal PP they've been accustomed to if they were to lose to P-Co but they would still grab the #2 spot more than likely.  PP #2-5 will be tight, again.

Union beat Graham at Mitchell in the spring of 2021, the first time Graham wore the yellow on yellow! Everyone knows uniforms had zero to do with it! Union came to play last night, our boys didn’t. As far as the uniforms, I’d never wear yellow on yellow again simply because they’re ugly! 

Agreed.  I think RV had a very underrated big game atmosphere last year and the Ric Flair "Woo!" is fantastic. I hope that becomes tradition along with the "East Bound and Down" after long TD runs or catches.  If the stands weren't so far away, it would be a lot better.
