Why would you have unhappy parents at Burton and Central?  Both teams had great seasons.  Not so sure about Union.
You can't make everyone happy, but coaches play the people that perform the best.

I’ve never understood all that school transfer stuff. How can kids not be loyal to the school they grew up in?  That’s hard for me to comprehend.  We don’t have very much of that in this part of the region in football, anyways. Sometimes in basketball, but its mostly the parents, not the kids. And how many of these transfers go D1 anyway?  Seems like a lot of unnecessary drama to me but I may be missing something. And as far as Burton, they should be happy with what they did this year, especially with all that off field stuff at the beginning of the season.  Their coaching came along way from game 2 to the playoffs and so did their team.  I’d be proud to have my kid on that team. 

Ridgeview shouldn't be considered a favorite at all until they can devise some kind of backup strategy for when someone can contain Adkins.  Until that happens, then we're simply going to be a one win and done team.

Galax by at least 30...........PH regular season schedule was WEAK, it will show today.

From what i remember GW put it on JI in that game. It was pretty ugly toward the end. GW had several freshman playing in  that game as well. starters were held out.

This game is just a formality. whoever wins the galax/GW is going to state. neither PH or JI can beat the winner. 2nd place isnt bad for the region. LETS GO GW!

This game was a blowout last year in PHś favor and they didn´t graduate a lot from that team. Burton did have a few turnovers early in the game to give PH some help. This is a good size (PH) vs Speed (Burton) matchup but I think PH wins by running the ball and not doing anything to beat themselves. Burton does have an advantage in their schedule has been more competitive than Patrick Henryś so that may help in preparation for this game. 

Ph wins 28 7, too big,too strong, Rebels are a complete balanced team.

no way Burton beats Chilhowie. Chilhowie has to many weapons on offense.Also, playing in the district Burton plays in makes them look better than they actually are so they aren't very battle tested. Chilhowie is 10x better than the next best team in the Cumberland other than Burton. May be a closer game but still think Chilhowie wins without much trouble.

I dont see Burton improving by 21 points I know that was a long time ago but Chilhowie has the experience advantage and a darn good coach that very rarely gets out coached. They will have a plan. I say Chilhowie but it will be closer than last time. 

On the FAVORITES THREAD most are picking Riverheads . I don't think they are that good . If GW can smack the Tide then they have a good shot at the Trophy !

Awesome game to watch, not being a fan of either team made it easier to watch. Down to the wire like that had a lot of tickers missing a beat.

Hearing the Chilhowie at JIB has been moved to UVA-Wise

As I understand it, it is the sole discretion of the hosting team up until the State Semi's.  I may be wrong though.

Not sure I trust his numbers, he seems to give Burton a lot more credit than most haha

That was Hess that game... but overall, Hill has been the better player all season.
