Cannon Hill is better than Hess... and he's only a Freshman.
Hill will be known more for his defense  in the coming years though.  He's the second coming of Sproles... punishes people with nasty hits.

I think it depends on if Central finds a way to contain Adkins. He’s obviously Ridgeview’s biggest weapon. Does Ridgeview have any other substantial weapons if Adkins gets locked down? If Central can hand a team like Richlands a loss, I feel like they could surprise any other team still left. I’m no expert but I say it will be a close one. 

It was the same thing last year with East Rockingham. The majority of people on this forum have not seen any team east of Salem play, so we take someone from the east’s word for it and run with that team. 
Tony Palmer said on the SWVA Sports podcast last year that he would’ve rather had played East Rockingham than Goochland. He said that after watching film he felt graham would’ve had their way with them. But, most of the people were picking East Rock to win it all last year. 
My point is - outside of SWVA - how many of us actually have in depth knowledge of other teams? 

I dont know stats for sure this list is for the most part an eye test
1. Simmons GW this kid is lights out and by far the best true QB in the region even if you cover well he is capable of breaking a 40 yard scramble
2. Lester Graham - one of the top athletes in SWVA. He is playing out of position at QB that is the only reason he is 2 on the list
3. Simmons Richlands- Mance has a great system and this kid has learned it as the year has gone on. It doesnt hurt that he has the webb kid to throw it up to
4. Thomas VA High- I know he is a running back but he does catch the snap for them more times than not. If this kids was on any other team he would be an all state kid for sure. If he can get some help look out he could be future POY in the southwest district
5. Pickett Galax- I havnt seen him play but they stats yall keep throwing up are pretty darn impressive. 

Jayman is a good athlete. He's a Soph. Leads the team I think with 5 of the 20+ INT's this year.

I like it. It's a change from the regular season and a treat for the boys to get to play on a Saturday. Not many will get to do that in their life.

Theres no way Chilhowie beats Burton at home this round. The first time was luck. Galax has only played 2 teams with more then 4 win.

I root for JIB to win games and do well, but when they lose its okay bc I know whoever you are, you're a sobbing mess.
 
Galax will win this side of 1A by 3 TDs. 

The cheat sheet VHSLhelper posted had them potentially tied but I didn't look at all the scenarios. I'm not sure it matters, I think Chilhowie likely beats Burton in Norton if they match up in round two, but home field does matter.
 
Chilhowie played PH closer than I expected, so maybe there's a potential upset but it doesn't matter as Galax is gonna curb stomp whoever advances.

Union is 7-2, likely to be 8-2 and is about to win the district, again. Personally, I think it’s the best coaching job Travis has done to this point in his career. Kudos to the whole staff and the players for getting to this point. Program is averaging like nine wins a season. My take: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. 

I know Ridgeview didn't have their QB, but still...…..the results above are what happens when a passing team gets a lead on a running team and forces the running team into a scoring affair.  It also hints to me that Ridgeview may have some trouble covering speed in open space, as Pikeville loves to spread it out and throw it, and run out of wide formations.  

I’ve got PH, Burton and Chilhowie should be how top 3 finishes.
