I’m very well aware of that fact. I’m only referring to the programs as they refer to themselves, Central Warriors and Clintwood Wolfpack. My insinuation was not to reflect on Coach Owens or Mullins, but to the little league organizations themselves. Some that are not as in the loop as we are will gloss over and paint all football represented under one banner though and there is no changing those folks minds. That is why I said there needs to be serious examination of all that represent their community on any level of football or any sport for that matter.

In 2012, the US Soccer Federation actually banned high school soccer for its Boys Developmental Academy players.  
We parents, wanting what is "best for our kids", will ensure that "pay to play" ultimately kills HS sports. 
 

The top design was worn in 92 (State Championship team) and 93.  The bottom design was debuted in 94.  This was the helmet when the silver uniforms were worn in the playoff game versus Lee.  The helmet design in 91 was basically the top design with a few more frills (striping and outlined decals.)  I always equated this helmet design with the New York Giants helmet when it read "GIANTS."   In case anyone is wondering, the player at top is Chris Harrison, one of the best linebackers to play at Richlands.  He also doubled at TE, he would have been scary in a spread, pass happy offense.  He could knock the snot out of ya!

But the truth is, and nobody wants to say it...he's right...

The problem with all high school post season teams.....politics.

Sat with Appo fans @ Union last week (was pulling for Union) and the fans were fine.  Had one moron from Appalachia trying to stir stuff, other than that they were great.  Every team has a moron or two mouthing at the stadium.  

Whoever you are pulling for....great game!!

I don't wanna see Appo win three in a row, but if they win by more than a couple points, I feel confident the two best teams played in semis. 

Holy shit. That's one of the shadiest things I've ever seen. How TF was that allowed? Three days??!? You can't possibly say this transfer was anything other than one school recruit a kid for the game. It's ridiculous and I hope the VHSL looks back and vacates this whole mess. You cannot allow this precedent. It opens up the entire state to recruiting kids for playoff games in the big three sports. Disgusting.

You don't beat Appo by breaking off long runs. You ground and pound and limit their possessions. They have given up close to 700 rushing yards in 2 games. If you can't run on them, then you're in trouble because their secondary is forreal so you don't want to pass the ball.

Devon Johnson went to Marshall. Yed that is a great accomplishment but that's not the "highest" level of college football. Im glad you take great pride in your school and the kids that attend it but Im sorry Richlands High School is not the only school in this area that has produced D1 athletes contrary to what many may think. 
I did not bring up the topic of transfers. But since you mention it, Ive got a son that's in the 8th grade he's 6'4" 240lbs and he can fly. He loves football and it's always been his "dream" to wear that Richlands uniform. Is there anyway possible the Strong's would have a dirt cheap apartment to rent? Lol

The more pressing question is will Mance really retire? Oh wait, it's probably in God's hands.
