When the vote occurred was an Abingdon representative not present?  From the article posted the principle said everything was done to try and include AHS but region trumped the district and he seemed ok with it.  You do hate it for the players that worked hard and have to miss out on extra games but to jump to the conclusion that the AHS fans on here are doing is, well expected.  It's rained every evening for the past 2 weeks basically and 3a moved up their region tournament but still the conspiracy that M7 didn't want to play AHS is what's being stated as the "real" reason.

😂😂Abingdon has a run of athletes for a few years, and this is the rhetoric that uniformed people spew.
Even then, with all of the D1 talent Abingdon has had on their baseball team, their record against the lowly Bearcats over the last 3 years is only 4-3. The Bearcats have dominated Abingdon for decades in this sport.
Last I checked, the extremely average Bearcat football program, won in Abingdon last season, and they will be even better this year. The VHS football program is the poster boy for an average football program, literally. Just look at their all time record on the awesome records page that @Bluefield researcher created. Yet, I believe VHS holds a slight edge, head to head. By "slight" I mean pretty significant.
Should I continue?

If Frito was okay with it, why the  stink?  If they could not have played through the finals what would be the point of starting?  

This is not uncommon this year. The lone D1 team in the Bull Run opted out of the district tourney. They chose to prepare for their region tourney after rain outs moved the district tourney back. Non-issue IMHO. 

I'm glad there was no social media when I was in high school. 

Congrats to GC. That was a special team and McClung is a rare talent. ALso would love to have seen the only Virginia team to beat GC play this year as well. 
 
A couple of those Lee players are a pain and some of the staff is completely classless.  I will not mention my feelings on some of their fans. 

I also don't believe the kid played 300 games a year

You go 3 blocks in the wrong direction from the Siegel Center, you are in the ghetto.  Very bizarre layout for VCU.

I saw Lee play twice season this against East Rockingham. We split with them. They are not as good as last year. Vaughn is good but can be a head case.  I think this match up favors GC. Lee kind of plays like they are in a school yard.. try to block everything, try to push when it is not there etc.  But they are really athletic. They used their athleticism to beat most teams. Central Woodstock is a poor mans GC and they could have beaten Lee twice if their coach had a clue. GC has better horses than CW. I think McClung will score at will. If Hatcher was still the Lee coach, I would say GC by 15-20. Their new coach is just a little smarter and MAY try to play defense against GCs perimeter players. Can’t believe I am saying this but Go GC!

Abingdon either scored more, or held VHS to less, or a combination of the two?

Seems to me that people need to get over the whole "liberty guns deal" and put it back at LU.
I know lots of griping went on about lack of hotels and travel to Williamsburg.

Unfortunately, records don't transfer when schools consolidate.
