  1. Really Ryan? A Richlands guy looking for clarification or the intricacies about a WV/VA transfer from McDowell County? That's like a an Italian guy from Brooklyn asking what pizza is made of. Come on man

  2. Clements played his freshman year at Mount View so that is not the same situation as Jennings.

  3. I think he was referring to the tweet not what you said.

  4. You are correct. That is the rule. I was responding to someone who said Clements situation was the same as Jennings. It wasn’t.

  5. Not to be in disagreement, but us old RHS fans are not through with this thread yet. Come on now, we haven't had to chance to voice our opinion on the assistant coaches, or what we think they will do to help the HC. At least give us until after the beginning of 7 on 7's to try to swallow what TCSB may come up with as to the assistants.

  6. Guys you know how this works, out of State transfers are inmediately eligible with a corresponding move into the attendance zone with a legal parent or guardian, it's not rocket science.

  7. Clements is the same situation as Jennings. Edward's has lived in the same place in Bluefield since at least 2017 when his brother Aaron played for Graham.

  9. That explains Jennings. But what about Clements & Edwards? 😉

  10. There is more to it with Jennings going to Princeton in my opinion. The Div 1 looks are already there right now at Graham. He's already in the recruiting realm and we'll entrenched into Div 1 programs radars. I think this might be related to a more personal, school thing. You don't announce in the middle of a school year that you are making a decision to go to a nearby school. You do that at the end of a year. 90 plus percent of the time, that announcement on social media would have a strong Emotional component. A strong emotional component along with the time of the announcement (middle of the school yr and not the end of the school yr) leads one to believe that there has been some type of event, a one or two time event related to school that quickly and emotionally led to that announcement. This is my opinion. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

  11. A move to a school in the next county won't get him any more attention then he's already getting. Can't blame the kid for wanting to play in his backyard. As for rings, Princeton lost an absolutely amazing player from last season's squad, but with the re-alignment in WV, should have a good shot at going deep in the playoffs again. Same goes for the G-men. it's a lateral move, in my humble opinion. The main thing is that he does what is right for him and the he!! with what everybody else thinks. I wish him the best. I understand that he is a great kid and obviously a great athlete.

  12. It will be a big loss for Graham, especially at Defensive End. Big addition for Princeton's football team. Graham still has plenty of talent returning, going to have to work with somebody to fill that role, however. Best of luck to him, he has some major D-1 schools already looking at him.

  13. It's easy to sit in the seats at the Siegel Center and be an armchair coach and say a coach is a sore loser. Dig deeper. It's easy for JM fans to sit in their seats and say that Class 2 isn't worth their time because they play so much better basketball than what is played in the rest of the state. Dig deeper. They don't want to but they don't care. It's all about winning. You develop your players from your youth league. Develop your players from your middle school program. Develop your players from your JV program. Shoot even add a good player or two from a nearby town. Put together the perfect season. Then go to Richmond and play a team thats been built from Team Loaded AAU. Division 1 players all around. Total mismatch. Beating teams by an average of 60 points. You play them for a state championship and get your behind handed to you. Four months worth of work for the season. Years of watching your seniors grow up from little kids to the amazing players they are now. To watch them get destroyed by a built super team. No chance to win a state championship. Hard work for years gone. Beat by 58 points. And you are going to just say... "Just a better team. We just aren't good enough to win a state championship." If that's your reply..... YOU ARE A BETTER MAN THAN ME.

  15. Brother Lance. Uncle Percy says it’s about time to shutdown these topic and lock it away. The critics have expounded their thoughts and concerns. The “experts” have voiced their “expert” opinions. The head coach has been discussed, asst coaches’ names have been tossed around along with discussions on “recruiting” and other topics. As always, when it comes to Richlands, The Mayor of the Trailer Park has made the most sense. However, after 25 pages, 614 comments and 51k views Uncle Percy just laughs. He said “Out of this commenting there’s no Paul Harveys that know the rest of the story”. Mayor, Uncle Percy says you’re probably the closest. See folks, Uncle Percy knows something the rest of us don’t and he’s not talking. He won’t even tell Cousin Claude and they both belong to one of those secret societies with about 13 - 15 handshakes and upteem pass words. So Bother Lance, Uncle Percy says if these people haven’t figured it out yet, they probably never will, except maybe the Mayor. So lock her down and turn out the lights as Dandy Don used to sing.

  16. Emily Edwards of Galax won her second consecutive state championship in Shot Put with a throw of 40'-11-1/2". Breaking her Class 1 state record of 40'-6" from a year ago. She's headed to Australia this summer as part of the Junior Olympics. Her dad played football and baseball at Haysi and Emory & Henry.
