We had a train horn,  long cleats,  8 transfers a year, Phil Robbins clipboard for back support, and  honaker-perry-harding weren't the officiating crew.  

It happens everywhere, but when you're winning people look more. If they were .500 every season nobody would look/ care.

It's been a continuous battle for years. Hated to see it end. But at least the kids that still wanted to play were able to.

If Grundy wins I believe they will be the #1

Coaching change plus young team.  They should get better the next few years.  If the Wise parents can keep their mouths shut that should become an elite program. 

I just can't, it ain't in me.  I can throw an Akers reference here and there but that's about my limit.  I always just treat it like we're having a conversation around a table/campfire with an adult beverage and just disagree and respectfully cuss one another, maybe throw off on each other's heritage and continue on like it should be.  In person is much more fun. But, if I have to then here goes:  Why the hell don't that coach call the right play every time.  My boy ain't missed a single fund raiser, he should get every snap.  He better play, I donated $ myself.  Just messing, I really just can't do it.  On a funny note, I did hear, in the stands twice just this season, "I by-god served overseas to come back home to my boy not playing a down?"   TRUE STORY

Possible, but easier to end up 4 and gate city could take a hit to 6. Don't think they can outpoint vhs, 3-6 could be separated by tenth(s). Gonna be interesting

Auburn football turns into a Graham and Ridgeview debate

If you cut playoff teams, gotta do the plus-1 games. Those were great. 

They deserve just as much as a team with a winning record/better seed making bank on points due to playing decent smaller schools with winning records.  Kids are guaranteed one more week to play a game, that most will never play again so enjoy one more show and appreciate it.  Hell I wish they could do the plus-one again like the covid year so those non-qualifiers could play one last time.  Put yourself in their shoes.  JSB/Mar/TW/Eastside/etc. for example get a chance to call someone and more than likely to get an evenly matched game for a final would probably be the most excitement they've had all season after taking a bunch on the chin.  
Strictly on the competitive side of things, make it top 4 so it means a lot more to do well the entire season.

I guess they would say we had a good time in the playoffs even though we got beat. At least we got to play one more time, especially the seniors.

The risk with a Saturday is that it’s Halloween Saturday. Lot of activities this weekend across SWVA. Lol

Just doing the math, if RC was to lose both games there is a worst case scenario for them missing the playoffs. Hurley beating Montcalm would be a big part of that. 
 
RC needs to win one of the last two to clinch a spot. I hope the two weeks off have been beneficial for my alma mater and no rust shows up on Friday in Norton. 

Abingdon showed a lot of diversity in their offense as well.  I think they ran 3 plays all night.  4 counting the illegal pick on their first score but they didn't go back to it. SMH all night.
