Looks like Palmer is doing the same thing Mance did, retiring with full retirement from Virginia, and taking another job.  I haven't seen anyone blasting Mance for leaving, so no need to do it for Palmer.  As for the PH job, looks like it will be a good opportunity for someone.  Washington County pays well, and the talent is there to compete for a state title.

Since when are underclassmen allowed to sign?  I don't think that is accurate.

Biased is NOT good. There is a difference between bias and rooting for your team. They are not the same. You can root for your team and still give objective analysis. Nothing makes me turn off a game quicker than blind bias on the part of the announcer. For those of us who remember this is what made the old TBS broadcast so good before Don Sutton ruined them. Skip Carey was a die hard Braves fan but he told it like it was.

And that's why you won't be putting any teams together, you can't see past your own hate, and be objective about talent. Assuming someone defending him is him is absurd.  There are those of us mature adults that can look at a player objectively and judge them based on how they play. 

Those old rivalries will fade away.

No log jam at all at the end of the season, as the regular season champion advances automatically, and the tournament champion advances, unless the regular season champion wins the tournament, then it is the tournament runner-up.

For whatever reason, the VHSL moved everything back a week this year.  It will be June 14th or so before a state champion is crowned in baseball or softball.  That's ridiculous, seeing as most of our schools are done by the first week of June or last week of May.  Start football season earlier, as the teams are already practicing all summer anyway.

Why would you have unhappy parents at Burton and Central?  Both teams had great seasons.  Not so sure about Union.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. Only parent that might possibly have an input is Tester and he’s an excellent coach and on the staff. Why start this stuff? No other parent of any player is telling this staff what to do. No pnut coach is telling them what to do. Just stop with the nonsense. The message you’re telling is wrong. Are you there at practice and in the film sessions and game planning? No I highly doubt you are and neither is your source.

Union formed in 2011. GC's last state championship was 2010. Since 2011, GC is 3-8 against Union.
Richlands has played in one state game since 2011, that was in 2016.

If you had a Mountain 7 (exclude Abingdon) - Southwest Challenge on a Friday night similar to NCAA Basketball's ACC-Big 10 Challenge, the Mountain 7 would have won this year.  Last year would probably have been a different story, and next year may be a different story, but for the this year from top to bottom the Mountain 7 was better.  And with that being said, Graham is the top team.

Looks like the biggest upset of the year might have been Union over Graham.

Biggest coaching staff?  Is that by numbers or weight?

Biggest coaching staff has to be Union they have like 45 guys running around.  I think most of those just help so they can get in free.
