I don't think Bluefield could have beat Graham if they played week 10 ....The g -men grew up a lot from week 1 to the end...

Already heard from some Bluefield fans how if they were in VA they would be the state champs. This is why I find it very difficult to ever cheer for them.

I believe that Bluefield would have beat Goochland but I believe that Graham would have beat Fairmont. Fairmont exploited Bluefield's offense by stopping the run and making Bluefield pass which is something they don't do very much because lets just be honest, they don't play anyone that can stop their running game. Graham has a good balance of run and pass which could have scored on Fairmont. Goochland would not have been able to contain the speed of Bluefield and Bluefield would have smothered Goochland's running game just like the G-Men did. 
 
Graham finished as the best team in the area this year and they have hardware to prove it, Bluefield does not. As far as who would win in a rematch, if Graham and Bluefield were to play this Friday, with the new additions and strides Graham has made on defense, I personally believe Graham would win by at least 7 points but unfortunately we will never know. 

Agree.  This could have been much worse.  The officiating was bad.  It seems lilke every time I go to a state game, the crew is terrible. All of Goochlands points came from miscues (an INT set up their first Field goal).  A baffling call by the refs after a great punt by Graham's Joey Dales, which made the G-men punt again, which ended up with the punter getting tackled.  Graham was impressive, indeed.  Goochland was used to running over and around their opponents and they ran into a team that was more physical than they were.  Goochland got chippy, I believe because they weren't used to being punched in the mouth harder than they usually do the punching.  Graham was CLEARLY the best team in 2A this season.

Our area is always looked down by upstate. We owe it to each other to ride together when one of our teams plays for a state title. They aren't just representing their school,but representing us all.

That was biggest leap from 2017-2018, the physicality and demeanor of the defense. The Graham defense was absolutely brutal towards the end of the season and were playing every bit as good as the offense. 

It was definitely that, they had me confused several times, sure the players felt that way too.

Won a state title on coach Carlocks birthday......cant beat that.....

Hopefully we can come together as a community and pack Salem Stadium!

We may hate each other one week out of the year lol, but rest assured, any other time, just like siblings we got each other's back.

Watched a little bit of film on Goochland. What I was able to see they basically run the ball 99% of the time. Kind of a "here comes stop it if you can" style offense. Is that the consensus of what ya'll have seen?

That seemed to be the question of the day for many in attendance.  

Game time time to get off this crowd size of other  schools and get back to Graham and Radford 

Then why did the game get moved to Emory then?
The VHSL Twitter account specifically declares weather as the reason the game was moved.

Should have played in evening at CBurg...would have a ton more fans

Radford moved their game with Giles to Salem Stadium earlier this year if I recall... maybe it would get moved there?

I just hope that Graham wins this one and I think they will. This Richland's fan will be pulling for the Gmen.
