Thank you for your concern, #6 Brock is my son . He took a helmet just below the knee to the perineal  nerve on the side of his right leg . His leg went numb from the knee down and he didn’t have any feeling . Hopefully it’s just like a stinger . Still can not put any weight on it .
I would like to say thank you to the Union team and especially their coaches , they all came over and wished Brock well . Coach Turner spoke to Brock also .
We left it all on the field when the majority of people said we had no chance .
These “Dawgs” played their hearts out , good luck next week to both teams .

Looks like will be the final. Proud of the dogs and the effort they gave. Final score not an indication of how hard an effort they gave

Big shout out to Union and their fans for the great atmosphere and the sportsmanlike behavior from players and fans.  Very good venue, nice crowd and respectful fans.  Great programs do it the right way, I commend Union and their team.
No trash talking coaches or trash talking players and fans, just good football.  It is appreciated, we don't always get that treatment when we play away.

If Union does not show up energetic and play ball, they will lose. Creasy is good enough to take advantage of a flat defense. With that being said, unions defense has been exceptional at getting pressure on the QB and pass coverage. I think Creasy will be running for his life more often to not. Offensively, Chandler will be the difference.

For all intents and purposes, it looks like the top 4 are pretty settled in 2A-West. Still some movement in 5-8 to be had. 1A-West can still shuffle around with Honaker and Grayson Co the odds on favorites for #1 seeds.

After seeing Grayson Co take down Bluefield, I really like their chances against GW and Galax. Previously, I expected them to lose one of those. That will help Union in the race for the 2A - West overall #1 seed. If both Union and Radford take care of business, which is expected, they could be separated by as many as 12 pts(Radford) or as few as 1 pt(Radford or Union). Bears definitely need some help from Richlands.
Alleghany, Glenvar, James River, Patrick Co, Floyd Co, Carroll Co are non-factors for Radford as these teams play each other and the Bobcats will get 2 pts for each game regardless of the outdcome. Same is true for Lee, JB, Abingdon, Ridgeview and GC for Union.
So, assuming Grayson Co goes 10-0, that takes 4pts away from Radford by defeating GW and Galax. The remaining games of consequence are:
    Tazewell/Giles
    Ft Chiswell/Giles
    Va High/Lebanon
    Va High/Marion
    Richlands/Galax
    Richlands/Marion
    SH/DB
    Graham/Pulaski
    TS/RC
    Central/Grundy
There are several paths to get Union to the #1 seed, but these are the most realistic. Giles loses to both Tazewell and Ft. Chiswell, Science Hill over DB, TS over RC, Va High loses to Marion OR Lebanon, Graham over Pulaski.
Now, couple those games with Central over Grundy and Richlands over Marion.....OR.....Grundy over Central, Marion over Richlands, BUT...Richlands over Galax.
Lots of ifs and buts in there, however, it is possible.
Next 3 weeks will be very exciting to watch!

Yes, absolutely possible, but uphill for the Bears. The games I mentioned above will need to go in Union's favor and against Radford.
The bold teams in the following matchups will need to win to help Union pass Radford in points. They all don't have to go Union's way, but the more the better.

    Richlands/Va High
    TS/Eastside
    GW/Ft Chiswell
    GW/Grayson
    Giles/Ft Chiswell
    Va High/Marion
    Galax/Richlands
    Galax/Ft Chiswell
    Galax/Grayson
    Richlands/Marion
    Science Hill/ Dobyns Bennett
    Graham/Pulaski
    TS/RC
    Central/Grundy

SHOULD BE FAIRLY CLOSE, THEY'VE GOT PATRICK CO, FLOYD CO, AND CARROLL LEFT.  I DON'T SEE A LOSS COMING IN THOSE 3 GAMES.  WHOEVER IS ON THE 2/3 SIDE IN THE REGION IT WILL BE A DOG FIGHT.  GLENVAR HAS LAID AN EGG BEFORE IN THE REGULAR SEASON AND CAME BACK STRONG IN THE PLAYOFFS BEFORE.  RADFORD WILL GET DECENT 26ISH FROM PAT.CO., 22 FLOYD, 24 C.C. BUT WILL MAKE BANK OFF GLENVAR,  DECENT P.P. WITH ALLEGHANY, GALAX, AND G.W.  ALONG WITH V.H.S. NOT SO TOUGH REMAINING GAMES.

I don’t think so.  I’d say getting the equipment up there would be difficult.  The road and round about at the entrance to the school would be difficult for an 18 wheeler. But yeah with drone views looking at Pine Mountain would be spectacular.

The Bears' Defensive plan and execution last night were absolutely superb!
-Held the normally prolific O'Quinn to just 76 yds on 8 of 19 with 2 INTs and only 1 TD.
-Held the QB to just 1 completion on 7 attempts over the final 2 quarters.
-Limited the Pack in the 2nd half to only 32 yards and 3 first downs, one of which was a PI penalty.

This is the caliber D needed to get to Salem.

Although the outstanding assemblage of skill players the Bears have this season - Anderson, Huff, Lowery, Chandler, Bunch, Bostic - make the sport's headlines & highlights, I think the four senior interior defensive players are the core of Union's team success. They impressed me in the very first game and have played exceptionally well every week. I predict LOS will be the deciding factor in this week's match up with the Wolfpack; but I'm certain there will be another packed house at Bullitt Park to witness another fine SWVA football clash!

Good defense that is active and athletic but I'm not sure how they will do against a straightforward down-hill rushing attack like Union's.  On offense they still have, IMHO, the best QB in the region and a speedy slot WR.  They lost their one tall WR for the season and the remaining outside WRs aren't very big (5'8 - 5'11) and aren't going to win a lot of matchups against athletic DBs.  They lost their best RB for the year and that was a big set back, IMHO. They converted a WR to RB and he runs hard and is tough but is a step back from the injured starter.
Good kicker, O'Quinn does a good job punting and they are pretty good on punt/kick returns.  Their coverage is still a bit of a sore point. If I were Union, I'd put a OLB in the slot's face and re-route him and then get after the QB with some blitzes.  Union will have an answer for RV's little bubble screen game which no one has defended very well yet (with the exception of VHS).  Will RV have another wrinkle or two installed by then?  If not and Union has a healthy Chandler....could get ugly.
