I think after taking such ragging over his time at Gate City, Akers has had a phenomenal season as HC at Holston. I think they beat PH. I don't see them getting by Galax though. I could be wrong. 

They have a complete team. Very all around not 1 stand out player but 6 or 7 can hurt you. They are similar to the 09 team. But it's PH they play first so if they win then we can talk The semi game

Narrows played no one. Best team they beat was East Mont. Uncle Vern must be ???? Himself. That’s what I got from it 😂

Now if you would have said Marion I'd believe you. They might not beat Riverheads but if they play Galax it will be a very good game. Thanks for all the years of football banter Gman. Is Lance still on here?

Any of the 4 teams remaining in 1C smoke the winner of D!! Then goes on gets hammered by RH!! 

That’s is saying a lot right there , even though they are not in the same region. In my opinion just like last year -Holston hasn’t seen a defense like they will until they meet Galax. 
 
With that being said Holston struggled with 6 seed  Narrows and against Rural retreat that was blown out by the fourth seed GW.  
 although but I am getting ahead of myself . Looking at these two ,they both played PH to about the same result so should be a good game 

We came out in new sets and a totally different  Quarterback running plays we haven’t run all year Friday night. We threw all night last Friday and tried to run this Friday . Totally didn’t help,  It made thing worse. Lol they are a tuff out. We might have had 20 yards total offense except for two big pass plays until the jvs got in . 
 
We brought 10 guys stacked in the box with a 5 man front and dared them to throw it. instead it took them 2 plays to adjust and they just blew us of the ball.  Then decided to throw on us just to show they could.

The one thing I can say for sure is this—-Bradshaw will not get to touch the ball on a punt or kickoff , unless he is standing out of bounds

WV, Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky all have playoff dates, times and places posted on the state site. Not Virginia.

Lol ,Graham knows all about It. the fact GW gets a bye week after ducking teams  and getting two weeks to prepare at the 1 seed is shameful at.best

im sure GW would love to move teams up and give 1 seed a bye. my buddy in 1b said for that to happen all teams would have to vote and would need majority to pass. not many coaches would want to start all over mid week. its a big conundrum for sure

Riverheads beat starts draft 48-7 in 2019. They are  an impressive program but  should be beating everyone in 1A with their enrollment. They will always have an asterisk beside their titles in 1A due to that fact. They should be in 2A and not skate the numbers and stay in 1A. No school stays at that consistent of enrollment year after year. Look at the Giles and Graysons of the world. It has darkened  1A ball because of it. 

I have watched Riverheads play every year since 2015. Besides their 2016 team this year is the best I have seen, if not the best. If you think anyone in 2A would win  easily you are being a homer and fooling yourself. People act like they don't play anyone but 1A schools ,where as the vast majority of their schedule is 2A schools and they have  beaten the 2A state runner up the past two years in regular season. 
 

CalPreps shows Riverheads beating Appomattox 42-28. It shows Graham beating Riverheads 28-27. 
 
You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think Riverheads is capable of winning the Class 2 state title. 

I don’t think that’s an accurate description.
 
Tazewell was much more committed to the run last year, especially with Gavin Nunley who could run it well.  That team that got thunderstruck by Central was coming off a heartbreaking loss to Graham and didn’t have their minds right.  Riverheads would have been toe-to-toe with Appomattox last year.
