Excellent take! Dylan is one of those kids whom you can’t help but cheer. You can count on him to give 100 percent. If he continues his college career on the gridiron, some coach would be blessed to have him.

Most of you entered your last year knowing this wasn't going to be a championship season. In reality, you knew the victories and celebrations, would be few. But you still gave all you had. I truly respect your hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and dedication. Most of you were just nameless, faceless, numbers on a jersey. So to the handful of you I know, and the hundreds of others I had the pleasure of watching, thanks again for giving this old high school football junkie another enjoyable season. You will remember these days as some of the best of your life.

What’s Hard Hitter’s opinion on this?  Surely you would know.

Did you know that Marion has been within 1 score during the 3rd quarter in 8 of their 9 games this season? Of course you didn’t. 
 
Marion’s coach is more knowledgeable in game planning than most in the area. So when someone says “Marion will give them more than they expect, but Graham will still roll..” I think that’s probably fair to say and don’t take it as a slight. 

Correct, Virginia High can be no better than 4th if Gate City upset Ridgeview.

After getting shell shocked by Richlands and Radford in the first two weeks, who would’ve thought Gate City would be in this position? Great coaching job.

I would respond to the Devil’s Advocate argument by stating that Jordan’s QB in his JR/SR seasons couldn’t throw a pass beyond 15 yards with any sort of velocity or accuracy.  That’s not to say that Nunley was a bad player: he ran the RPO like a wizard.  But that goes back to “playing to your strengths”.  You have a running back that went Division I; an OL that was big, strong, and experienced; and a QB that was far better as a runner than a passer.
 
Jordan would have thrived like crazy with Creasy as a QB.  And still yet, Jordan left Tazewell as the school’s all-time reception leader, despite playing alongside the school’s 2nd all-time leading rusher.

People are ridiculous-a lot of times a coach’s kid is one of the best players due to the time they put in etc. Nepotism is a real thing, but people assume it 100% of the time and that just isn’t fair. The Harris boys are both tremendous athletes and would be featured at just about any school. 

I wouldn’t pretend that isn’t true. However, not one player in the world is going to be close to breaking records without having an offense that benefits them. You have to play to what your strengths are 
 
He’s averaging 5 catches per game for his career. Ridgeview fans are throwing a fit that their best athlete is only touching the ball 5 times per game. 
 
I’ve seen many people praise Plymal from Grundy for being one of the better area coaches. We don’t knock him when he lets Scammell carry the ball 30 times in a game do we? When Scammell broke the Buchanan County rushing record a few weeks ago I didn’t see anyone diminishing that accomplishment because they feed him the ball so much. I think everyone understands that he’s their best athlete and him touching the ball so much gives them the best chance to win.  
 
Main point I’m making is: if you have one of the best athletes on the field you make sure he touches the ball, regardless of anything else, because that gives you the best chance to win most game. & I think most would agree with that. 

It had nothing to do with coaching tonight...Bluefield had more speed and talent than Ridgeview.  You all talking about how good your QB is...he has one of the weakest arms I've seen for a "good" QB.  His deep balls are lobs or jump balls (ie. throws it up to which ever player can get to it) and his short passes have zero zip on them.  Ridgeview had zero speed on the outside or on D.  Best player was Hill the RB. He did most of the work on his runs as the OL got little to no push on the Beavers.  None of that has to do with coaching...

Don’t look at me in that tone of voice. 

That was so awesome to watch and call in real time.  The ball actually bounced through the uprights, he spiked it so hard.  And every single official threw his flag.
