I'm sorry you took it this way.  Not my intent.  I want to be gracious with my words when replying to a post, but also be firm in my convictions.

CPF it seems there has always been an undercurrent of bitterness when Coach Mance is mentioned, not against the Blues program as much, but against Coach Mance.
I was on the bandwagon rooting for a return of Coach Carlock football when the Gmen were soundly thrashed by Gate City a few years ago 70-0.   Was happy to see the resurgence of Gmen football.  I won't hold grudges and as a Christian cannot, but your posts at times, makes it hard for my heart to be 100% committed to the Gmen success.  In saying that, I still want the program to do well (and they have).  It seems there's  been a two-tier rating system on here when it came to the success the Blues had,  and now the Gmen.   The Blues recruiting, free housing, when players transferred.  Now that  the scenario seems quite similar, with players transferring in to play for Graham, the portrayal is painted with a different brush.
I'm very invested in Coach Mance and his success while at Richlands, and now at Loris.  As others have said he took a program that was in decline.  When  first arriving the players were in the weight room with crocs lifting weights.  His success has come with a strong work ethic and countless hours making his football programs a success.  He has always given credit to his assistants and had the knack to be able to see the abilities of his players and utilize their talents to the maximum.
I want all the Tazewell County schools  not just be a showcase of talent, but a brotherhood of communities pulling for each other.   First and foremost always a Blues fan, second a Bulldog fan and I want the Gmen to do well.
May the upcoming season be great with each team doing well, no career ending injuries, and sportsmanship for all teams.

    Yes our LORD IS RISEN!!!!
The grave could not hold his deity, could not shutter his message, could not subvert his truth, could not dimish his love for mankind.  The stripes laid on his back, the nail scars on his hands and feet, the beard plucked from his face, his side pierced was agony for his disciples and mother to witness.  Was his ministry gone, ended?  Their hearts crushed with the brutality Jesus had endured.  His broken body begged for by Joseph...placed in his tomb.  They thought they were seeing the end of his ministry.  What will we do, who else has the words of life?
Three days later, despair, uncertainty, without direction overwhelming their lives, the handmaids went to the tomb to anoint our LORD'S body.  The TOMB WAS EMPTY!!!!
His accusers thought his message and ministry had died on Friday.  His followers saw death could not conquer or vanquish his message or ministry, it was still alive on Sunday, as it is today.
    Amen!!!  Amen!!!

Life has been challenging for a lot of  us in these last couple of years.  It has brought tears to some, death of loved ones, sickness that took our breath away, but a new year 2023 awaits.  It will have challenges, changes and hopefully a lot of blessings as well.
These notes are from a message on 11/8/20 from my Pastor.  The last 3 years I have listened to messages online due to sickness in my family.   I began to take notes of messages and it really has been a comfort to me looking back  and sharing with others.
"PUT LIFE BACK IN ORDER"   (1 Cor. 14:33 and John 6:68)
1 - Reduce your wants and you will live like a King.  If you live like a King, you won't complain like a beggar.  God doesn't do anything out of confusion, he does all in order.  If you multiply your wants you will live like a beggar.  A beggar becomes a desperate person.  We are all created equal, but don't make our opportunities equal.
2 - Live and love (John 3:16)   You have to live love, and you live love by serving.  Love isn't about how much it gives to you.  If you live and love, you will live joyfully.
3 -  Stay around people who inspire you.  Bad things are contagious.  Don't hang out with people who just give you something, hang out with people who inspire you, not drain you.  Choose wisely.  If Jesus was contagious, both thieves on the the cross would have caught it.  Jesus is inspirational.
4 -  Obey his word (Matt 19:20-22)  Don't go outside of God to get something.  If you do, you will have to live outside of God.
5 -  Trust in the process .  Just because God has ordained you, don't think God will take you directly to the castle.  There will be battles and trials.  (1 Sam. 17:13-30)

MAY 2023 BE A YEAR THAT KEEPS US ON COURSE, GETS US BACK ON COURSE,  BY BEING CONTENT WITH WHAT WE HAVE, SERVING WITH LOVE, GROWING DAILY WITH HEAVENLY MANNA, AND TRUSTING GOD WITH ALL OUR HEART BECAUSE WE KNOW HE FIRST LOVED US.
    Amen

These notes are from message of 12/5/21 my pastor preached.  I thought for those who celebrate the birth of Jesus it would be a blessing in this most Holy Season.

"Three Amazing Gifts Given To Jesus"
Most gifts that we give or receive are for the moment.  The gold, frankincense and myrrh were given to Jesus by the wise men, but they were for mankind as well.  These gifts given weren't just for the birth of Jesus, but had significance in his death as well.  The Old Testament tells you somebody's coming, the New Testament  tell's you, he's here.
Gold -  is given to a King (1 Kings 6: 21-22)  The gold represents redemption overlaid on the altar, in the temple Solomon built. Before God calls you to a platform, he will call you to the altar first.
Frankincense is sap dried from a living tree which dies.  You cannot get sap out of the tree unless it is pierced.  The first part of the sap isn't collected.  It holds impurities.  The second part, when collected, dries like a teardrop.  Jesus cried, "I'm not crying for a religious war, but for Godly peace."  The frankincense afterwards is crushed, and then  sold for incense, the smell.  The priests in the temple always burnt  incense around the altar for healing.
Myrrh the third gift  represents Jesus being anointed at birth, because one day he would be  'high priest."  (Luke 4:16-19)  In the New Testament myrrh was used as an embalming oil.  A medicine to ease the suffering of people crucified.  They offered Jesus wine mingled with myrrh to ease the pain, but he refused.  (Mark 15:23)  Jesus knew he had to suffer with sin and all sickness.
The wise men gave gifts to celebrate Jesus birth.  What is your gift?  Who you are is God's gift to you; what you do is your gift to God.  Will we bring to this Holy Season a sweet savor?  May it be so!!!
    AMEN
