Rye Cove by alot

Very impressive so far

Eastside played a close game until the 4th quarter last time. If they can get rolling early it could be a close game.

I said back in August that Rye Cove was my pick to win the region and that I would not be surprised to see them in Salem come December. I'm sticking with the Cove. They know when to rise to the occasion. Heck, if they get by Eastside which I believe they will then I definitely hope they beat the region C winner and then go to Salam and bring that trophy back home 😂 .  Go Cove!

Eastside's chances just got better as I am hearing that standout Eagle player Carter Roach-Hodge late in the blowout win separated his shoulder:(

Have you heard if he’s out for sure? If he’s back, it might be a hard win for Eastside. Either way, I think it’s a lot closer than the regular season match up. Both teams seem to be rolling right now. I plan on watching if it’s on NFHS. If not, I hope I can find a radio broadcast at least.

Rye Cove has one more win in them. The Eagles will win and should win kinda easy. RC 36 Eastside 20.

From what I have seen today, Rye Cove will kick the Poop out of Grayson County or Bath County.

Hearing that since he is 18 he is playing without medical clearance

I sure ain't a good judge of a Football team. I thought Rye Cove would destroy Eastside and they are going to be very lucky to beat them.

Eastside will be a legit D1 state title favorite with all that they will have returning next season. Rhodes is doing an incredible job building that program. The feeder program is stacked as well.

Eastside was my preseason pick to win region this year.

I'll hold off on calling them state title favorites for next year.  Let's see how this game plays out, as Eastside is outplaying Rye Cove considerably 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter. They should be up at least two scores at this point.  Rye Cove has been strong in the 2nd half in many games this season, so let's see if they can bounce back in this one.

Win or lose tonight I am talking about next season. If they win tonight, they're ahead of schedule:)

This was quite the entertaining game last night.

I do agree that Eastside had the opportunity to win by 1 or 2 TDs, but those fumbles shot themselves in the foot.

Credit to the players and coaching staff for turning this game around from the regular season matchup with several chances to win it.

Congratulations to the Eagles for a great season and becoming region champions.

Did #9 for Rye Cove play last night  and if not what effect does that have on their chances going forward?

From what I gathered from the announcers last night, he was used very sparingly. IMO, Rye Cove has virtually no shot at a title without a healthy #9.
