Yes we all know John Marshall is on a different level but if there's one bright spot is Graham is a way much better team than Luray, John Marshall was only beating them 51-28 at the half

Watched a little of Luray & JM game, I could be wrong but I think VA High, Floyd County, or Graham could have beat Luray. Obviously not by 50 points but I think any of these teams could have pulled the win in that matchup. Therefore, I’m going to self-declare Graham state champs! 😂😂😂

Yall will give John Marshall a better game then Luray

I don’t think Todd Baker would do that although I’d love to see it. I’d just play keep away & hold ball as much as possible.

I'd say, give it your best and hold your heads High.  Graham is representing their hometown.  That other team is representing places from all over the Country.  Graham is the winning team, no matter what the score ends up.

Radford tried that a couple years ago and lost by 58 or so

That’s true…I know Todd will have those boys play as hard as possible. I just hope they have a great experience. It’s the last time they play together as team and just have fun. Make memories!

Graham needs to show up and walk off.  They have nothing left to prove.
The fact is that had Virginia High and Graham this year played someone who did not recruit and was like a normal Class 2 school then we might have back to back state championship from the Southwest.
But because the VHSL allows this bullcrap to keep on keeping on we will never know.

Could just set on the bench

GW beat Luray by 18 earlier this season.

Personally, I say go play Graham basketball and let the chips fall where they may.

The best news as some are saying Ty White is finally going to hang it up at John Marshall I'm sure he won't be missed

I’ll believe that when I see the resignation letter 😂

Tough loss for Honaker girls. George Wythe must have made the right adjustments at halftime being down 22-10 and winning 34-31. Two great programs.

Low scoring game even for girls’. Were the teams that good or play that bad? Definitely, a statement type of comeback. That’s a never give mentality for sure on part of George Wythe.

Game was much more physical in the second half

Honaker girls seemed to struggle at times late this year offensively.  Two great coaches in that matchup last night though.  Congrats to Honaker on a great season and good luck to GW next week.

Has anyone from the SWD won a boy's basketball championship?

Graham won the Division II Championship in 1956 Defeated James Monroe of Fredericksburg 48-41 at Blacksburg. Clintwood finished third defeating John Handley of Winchester 76-65.

In 1953 Marion won the Division II Championship defeating Clintwood 56-52 in Blacksburg.
