Bluefield researcher reacted to SWVAFB in Thanks Coaches !
I feel that this football season would not have been successful if we did not
Thank the very ones the put so much time and dedication into making this season
Truly enjoyable for us all.
Coaches give their all to make Friday nights extra special for our communities.
We often overlook their time and commitment they put into the sport, from the
Hot days of August to the chill of November.
Coaches are special people. They love the kids they coach. They love the schools
They represent, and they love their Maker. We are truly blessed in SWVA to have
Great Coaches directing our kids to a better future, and helping them build
Character that will enable them to become good citizens of our communities.
We thank you Coaches and May God Bless each one of you and your families.

I'm not an Abingdon fan by any stretch of the imagination, but for the governing body of high school sports in the State of Virginia to make that error is beyond pathetic...

Bluefield researcher reacted to 1inStripes in Play of the Year?
A pick in the end zone has never been a touchback that I ever remember. Only kickoffs, punts, and missed FG attempts that reach the end zone are automatic touchbacks.

Bluefield researcher got a reaction from Irishman in Coach Thad Wells
The thing with coach Hicks is that he coached EVERYTHING. Basketball, football, baseball and track. Coaches of that time everywhere did that. Their contributions left deeper lifelong effects on the players at the school for that reason. I don't think there is any doubt that coach Mance has been much more successful on the field as Richlands' football coach than coach Hicks was as a football coach. But I think it is safe to say that coach Hicks left a much greater footprint on Richlands simply because he was such as great person and the young men spent so much time with him.

The difference is one is generated by fans and the other is part of the school. Fans can make all the noise that they wish. In WV noisemakers are prohibited in the playoffs.

Bluefield researcher got a reaction from olewave in PLEASE CONSIDER! THIS IS A CHALLENGE!!!
I don't think he makes a profit on his books. He manages to recoup SOME of his costs. So if you purchase a book all the money goes to him as he has already paid to have them printed. I think he prints them at a loss just because he likes writing them. I have submitted a lot of material for the one that will have the Buchanan County scores.

Bluefield researcher reacted to Ryan4VT in Power points
To give you an idea of how hard of schedule the top 5 on each side of 2A have played, here are the combined opponent records:
Appomattox 13-15
Dan River 10-17
Richlands 16-17
Grundy 12-22
Graham 17-11
Goochland 10-23
Stuarts Draft 5-23
Madison 11-14
Buffalo Gap 12-17
East Rock 20-6
East Rock is 3-2 and it's easy to see why when they've played that brutal schedule. Outside of that, only Graham has played a winning record schedule, with Richlands 1 under .500.
