They've made huge strides in a short time.  Won games they should and competed in others. They got wins over some quality 1A, but time to step on up another notch. Skill kids were dangerous, just not enough room against U. O-Line gets a little better,  lol out. Region should only get better if Marion, taz, lee, continue going forward. Anxious to see next seasons progress. 

Im very saddened to read of the passing of one of BSG finest my thoughts and prayers for his family and community. 

If you are saying “eye level” meaning the defense is just watching RBs and reacting from their movement then you will be in for a long night….you better be reading the big uglys up front, they will take you to the ball.  You watch the backfield and your head will be spinning.
I will be crushed on here for this but, “No body has a QB under center anymore” is the reason football is worse now than it’s ever been.  Everybody thinks they are a spread team, chuck it 60 times a game; yet they can’t pick up a 4th and 1 because they are taking a snap at 4+ yards deep in gun so basically it’s a 4th and 5. The best teams that make it deep; with exception of a few (Riverheads) can get under center and run the ball; look at Salem year in and year out, nothing fancy just down hill football.

Word travels fast, Union had scouts recording the Gmen at practice today! No one would have know it was Union but they kept screaming "terrible call, that's not a hold" and blowing a train horn! 😆

Central does nothing spectacular,  but they do most everything efficiently .

That needs to stop too, u want to play a single a, schedule a good one but still only get single pp, guessing that geography had more to do with that.  Abingdon could be to Roanoke as quick as bsg, clintwood,  lee. So shouldn't get 3a pp for 2a game. 

I'm a fan of top 6.  Byr week for top 2.

Always a treat to watch m7 and sw, great atmosphere most stadiums, fan base,  rivals, respectful football for the most part.  Bottom dwellers won't always be  there and Champs won't always be at the top.  When most are competing, u should have 3 way ties. Makes things interesting. 

Couldn't see score but looked like grundy wore ph out at home.  I believe up by 28 at one time. 

Don't remember another brain fart moment from richlands, just mitchell breaking another good run late in the 4th to go ahead.  Think interior blocked a field goal in the end also.   It was a tight game,  blues were the best 4-6 team and playing for the second time that season.  Hard to beat teams 2x. 

They need to get Davis going on the end also.  That boy is way too big and strong to not be getting thru blocks and putting pressure on QB.  I know he was hurt early but he's been back a month now

After film,  it looks as if union does have a 3 man front,  outside guys on line are lbs.  If they can get back to what they do well,  make people adapt for them on both sides of the ball then it could be a very interesting game. I like the fact that winning the district does have a little more importance this season.  Good luck to both.

Not to take away from the Union/Ridgeview & Richlands/Tazewell games but how about them Holston Cavaliers. They're solid for a team that lost a lot from the Spring. Not sure if they're on Galax's level but definitely a team to watch out for going forward!

As true as it may be,  usually goes to a skill guy. That would be a tough one with all the skill kids in the region but strength of schedule determines much of that.  Looked like big man and #11 jervis create issues for anyone on both sides. 
The m7/sw is far above the rest in regD. Look at who the big games are coming against when stats are crazy good. On another note,  it's not 1997 any more and defense isn't the same as far as hard-nosed high caliber players. 
POY- way too early and way too many kids to narrow it down. Glad to see vhs competing again, if they've got a decent defense,  swd gonna be interesting. 

Maybe not a flashlight but Keokee used to have people in the rafters shaking the basketball goals when the opponents shot free throws.

old school is a rare find these days, always appreciated like a breath of fresh air.
