That's one view. The other view is, a whole lot of Hall of Famers were smart enough to get their young guys on the field early on in obvious big wins or big losses and it helped in 2 years. Hyperbole Fallacy= "just fold " At zero moments in this forum did I read the words, we should "just fold." Common sense says, it doesn't matter what our playoff position is, we are 1 and done, maybe with a great game, we somehow win 1 then done. Get your young guys in early and get experience is the common sense approach in my opinion. 

Chilhowie at home is definitely an advantage for them. They usually evaluate when the crowd gets into it. The place is usually packed too. I was there tonight and I think Rye Cove is easily the second best team in 1D I would expect a rematch with Honaker for the region championship. I would say that have a chance they have a pretty solid Line and 3 or 4 guys that run really hard including the QB which is dangerous when they are in 10 personnel. When it gets cold around thanksgiving the team that can run the ball and stop the run usually wins. I hope #16 is okay he was on the ground for a while in 3rd.

not even close.  Jenkins would be hard-pressed to get a first down with the starters in during the last 2 minutes of any 1D or 2D opponents, even down by 50 vs the 3rd string back-up's on J.V.

Agree on Pulaski and not being better than Union as a test or Graham. My post was focused on Graham vs Graham Friday night, not so much Graham vs Pulaski and whether Pulaski can win or not win, etc.
My point is...Graham has a limited critical amount of time to fix the penalty problem and play the complete "good game." If they don't do that against Pulaski, it's likely to late in the season to fix it, and it will rear its head in the playoffs.

Former Union QB got his first start for Dobyns Bennett Friday night. 

Prior to last score from VHS, Richlands had several chances where they shouldn't have went out of bounds that would have saved the last play possibly from happening.  On the last score, Richlands has 2 on trips side to defend while the safety was just hangin out in the middle of the field.  corner did the best he could, but should have grabbed the kid not allowing any catch.  One more play would have been played but I'm sure Richlands would've given the option. Richlands looked better than they did at the beginning of the season but VHS looking a little rough.  Maybe just an off night for the cats. Just bad awareness all the way around on Richlands D.

I think most great or even really good coaches are only as good as their support staff. One man alone doesn't make a program great but one man with a couple outstanding assistants can build a solid program. 

It's hard to dispute any coach that has the hardware after it's all said and done no matter what was there before they arrived.  Just within this region over the past 40 years, there have been more coaches than can be remembered that ran a great program and never had the hardware but still deserve tons of credit.  So, yea I guess that separates the good from the best.

It's like every other spot,  you have some passionate people that care for the right reasons along with turds that care for the wrong reasons.  From my experience, the pound kids seemed a bit more humble but it's the same in all counties. That being said,  it's a coin toss between battle and central.
