I love a train horn after a big play or touchdown, but the constant air horns have to go lol

I see no problem with a celebratory train horn, siren, or cannon after big plays.

It was blatant at the Union Graham game. When Graham was driving before half time and inside Union’s 20, there was a guy on the fence blowing the hell outta a big air horn.  Not even trying to hide it. Did it during the huddle and at the line.  No warnings..nothing. 
Look, I’m sure some will argue against this, but…..blowing air horns all damn game isn’t good for the game. Blow it when you get a first down, TD, etc. It’s bullshit to do it so 16 year old kids can’t hear in the huddle. It is against VHSL rules and I have no idea why they refuse to enforce it at BSG. Be loud….yell as loud as you can…..leave the damn air horns at home. 
For the record, other teams do it, too….specifically RV….but they are just doing what others are allowed to do. 

Union was playing the backside WR outside leverage and Four yards off.  The S was tight for run support.  That speed post was open. Not sure the QB could hit it but I was surprised to see that technique being played.  At worst he should have been straight up.  It’s like they over value being able to see the QB and under value leverage. They’ve done that against RV several times….for some reason the OCs never catch on to it. 
Union is okay with being dinked and dunked.  They play face up off zone to keep everything in front of them t and try to jump routes.  
That can be had by running tunnel screens. And comebacks. Speed outs. Double moves…specifically hitch and go. The kicker is ….will you have enough time and the QB to do it?

I always thought they were a bunch of j@ck@$$e$ with that thing, now they seem really reasonable 😆.  Blowing those things constantly ruins the game for 1/4 of the fans setting there with headaches.
 
I work with a guy(hes about 50) who stands behind the endzone at a local stadium and blows his while the other team is in the red zone. Takes credit for getting the other team to jump, that doesnt add to the environment in any positive way.

I have no issue with an airplane flying over the stadium after every play or having to suffer through Meat Loafs "Bat Out of Hell" at Full Volume in between plays, BUT....here is where it crosses the boundary.........when the visiting team breaks the huddle, no artificial noise or you get flagged, period. The Giles people are correct about their horn. They actually know how to use it and have done it well for decades because they let it fly all of the time, EXCEPT for when the visiting teams breaks the huddle. 

Lebanin/RV was bad on both sides today. From what I saw on NFHS last night, Eastside Honaker wasn't much better. But I'm noticing it about everywhere now. 

I agree, but one thing about Glenvar. It won't be Grahams straight vanilla passing O that has no misdirection. You are going to see tunnels, bubbles, double moves and hitches galore. No offense to the Gmen, but its a whole other level offensively with scheme and playcalling. I like Union close though. 6 point win for Union if both schools advance.

Agree with all you said, brother. If Graham were to find their offensive version of Snake Palmer, it would be lights out for the region.

I know there has been lots of discussion and forbidden discussion concerning events. Regardless of what happened, the forum is a great place to share things that we may not be able to share in person, sometimes even the positive. 
In that spirit, much in the same way Unchained made the classy post about Coach Crigger, I want to thank all you coaches and remind you just how important of an impact you have on us. It’s incredibly unfair the expectations outside the lines that are heaped upon you, but it’s greatly appreciated. I’ve seen some coaches act as fathers to players whose own wasn’t present and as counselors. I’ve witnessed some provide meals. Even some, helping lead players to Christ. If many of you are on this site, as alleged and those who have coached at any level, I say thanks and God bless.
I was fortunate enough to have great coaches and many are no longer around. I’m super happy to see Coach Mance having success in SC, and Coach Palmer at Graham, plus it was good to see pride and improvement under Ronnie Davis. I’ve also witnessed Coach Tarter make a ton of peanut butter sandwiches and other foods to feed in players. That’s just a few not to mention many others along the way, including friends’ parents.

After Roberts threw his 2nd int I would have pulled him, I mean I get he’s a senior and has played okay for us for the last couple of years but he was costing Graham. He missed wide open receivers a bunch of times today. He was rattled all game long. 

Chandler is a bad dude. Incredible running back, but the kid from RV is a freak. Freakishly talented, electric, dynamic, all of that and then some, and doesn't have the push-up front that Chandler has, but a reasonable argue can be made for Chandler. Ive seen Strasburg, Poquoson, and the 2 Richmond schools and they don't have anyone as good as the kid from RV running the ball. I think the RB for RV might be the most underrated player in all of Class 2. Just my opinion though. Stuarts Draft has a kid that is up there at RB. Can't recall his name.

I went to this game today. After watching two offensive series I told my son that Graham can’t win the game. I’m not going to even say that they couldn’t move the ball…..I’m gonna say that they didn’t even know HOW to move the ball. 
 
For my Graham folks. WTH happened to running with #1 and #11?  They tried several times to spread Union out and run the QB up the middle. That was no way to make a living against Union. The passing game was not very good at all.

Well since you have deemed that, we can call Coach Grant and just tell him to surrender. No reason to waist everyone's time with playing the 2D championship game. I mean RV earned this with an 11-1 record, but that doesn't matter. 
Actually, I'll do one better. Let's just declare the season over and hand the state title out now.

Eastside just dominating Honaker. It’s time for Honaker to thinK about something other than 100% Air Raid. Coaches need to learn how to run the ball some. I know he wants this offense centered around his kid, but there are talented kids on the team. Looks like other teams have figured it out. Better add a couple of different looks.
