If this is really competitive I’ll be shocked. 

Kudos to Honaker for playing a tougher non district schedule, but there are no signature wins on that schedule either. The Hogoheegee is no stronger than the Cumberland.

Eastside did play RC, Chilhowie and Rural Retreat.  Those 3 and Eastside were considered the 4 best to start the season in 1D.  Chilhowie played each also.  RC and RR didnt play but did play Honaker instead.  Not much can be said about either those 5s schedules overall.

I'm sure if they are playing in Salem the VHSL commentator will treat the game as a coronation for them. 

Im way more worried about the Sooners coming to T-Town today and we’ve already had a pick six. Nightmares of last year.  I knew Union would win regardless, Bama in for a dog fight lol. 

To add to the clock discussion…..no one is keeping it on the field physically unless the scoreboard isn’t working.  Officials use their best judgement based on what they see on what clock adjustments need to be made.  It’s not something specific in accuracy.

Yes, as everyone has said. This is a dumb argument, I think we are both saying the same thing lol. 

But it’s not kept on the field. The on field refs dictate the clock but the time is kept upstairs unless it’s needed to be manually kept on field due to clock issues.

Whoever wins in BSG next week shouldn’t just be crowned 2D champs. You guys seem to be peaking at the absolute right time and could absolutely beat Graham in Clintwood or come to Union and get revenge. I would still favor the other two but RV is dangerous. Id be shocked if they don’t cruise in round two as well. 

I know that there are teams that get in that normally have no chance, have losing records or otherwise don't deserve to get in, but I'd much rather have a 3-7 or 4-6 team make it than a 7-3 team miss it.
Region 3C has six 9-1 teams this year. Old system would have 2 of those 6 sitting at the house. That just doesn't seem right to me.

Very similar situations, except it hit GC at worst possible time whereas Graham had time to weather the storm and get fully clicking at the right time. 

Very fair point for sure on the perspective there.  I am a local that has never lived anywhere else in fact literally moved a few hundred feet next door from my parents lol.  If I was in a new area it is hard to say what my opinion would be.  I know I would still support my dogs for sure and I think it would depend on situations.  Maybe I would form a following for the local team who knows.  It's not that I hate those areas or have ill will towards them, just no connection so I don't care about them.  Would be the same about a local team in Roundup, MT.  How many people here would care about what happens there.  I did stay a night there but still no interest.  You would be right I do BG, our market, and Pocahontas.  Cedar Bluff is to picky about things and expensive to fool with.  Also have hit Cleaveland and Chilhowie farmer's market, why to get that broad expanse and coverage of people instead of the same all the time.  Again exactly right about the savor of the moment.  If something just isn't working out, then I'm not fooling with it again.  Again I'm not faltering anybody that is interested and if they are that's fine.  For me though I like to see what's going on with those near me and those surrounding schools since I work with people from all over Washington, Smyth, and Wythe counties.  This would be an awfully boring board if we all thought the same thing after all.
