Union hands down for 2A! 

In my mind, the best home field advantage in 1A will always be Sandlick. Just a wholly unique experience. Ridgeview should have to play a game there once a year by decree. 

I can’t find the game at Union but at Abingdon Osborne scored six points when the two played.

I think dude was saying Abingdon needed Osborne more, he's more valuable to Abingdon than Bunch is to Union (I disagree but I can see the argument, the old best player v most important to their team), not that he's better than Bunch.
 
If he's not saying that and implying Osborne has been better, well I can't see anyone arguing that. Pretty clear who the best player in the M7 and 2D is. Osbourne is a first team player tho, he's really picked up the slack once Ramsey went out. 

To quote Clubber Lang , my prediction is pain lots of pain , champions are good as well as lucky, the stars have to align and injuries must be kept at minimum. Appomattox, Union and the GMEN can attest to that, sometimes one man can make you or break you . KW was the healthiest football team in the final 8 and they took home the title. If Graham and KW both played healthy , well who knows what may have happened 

My predictions for next football season are that: There will be a 10 game season; There will be a lot of blowouts and close games; Union fans will complain if they go undefeated and unscored on during the regular season but lose in the second round if the playoffs; The QB play will be the key to all the contenders contending; No team from Southwest Virginia will win a championship until Appomattox and Riverheads combine and move to 4A. You could call them Rivermattox or Appoheads! Threads like this are really crazy to have because no body knows, there are too much speculation anyway, and in football season to many other variables like weather, injuries and coaching changes, transfers, your starting QB's love life or your starting tackle's mindset on getting lucky after the game with the cute cheerleader! Just let it happen, as it happens and enjoy the game we all love! Here's to better days and football forever!

1914, I believe.  The current Graham H.S. was built in the 50's after the old High School caught on fire.  The old building was re-furbished and became Graham Intermediate School. Ill tell you one thing, those High Schools in Tazewell Co. Could all use a good pressure washing. You can still see the chalk dust markings outside of Graham's gym on the front side of the building, where a certain unknown juvenile had to dust chalkboard erasers.

Also Abingdon did not deserve two first team WR. If the OPOY was gonna be a split, shoulda been Lomax/Beavers. WRs shoulda been Carter, Beavers and Hill.

We're Back!

I would like to thank the City of Bluefield, WV for their assistance in helping a "Homefield advantage" mean absolutely nothing. Thank you for  letting the competitors get time on the field Friday night and Saturday morning before the game. Although Graham has to pay for time on the field you let a visiting team come in and use the facilities for free. This may seem minor to some but playing at a new field in a new environment is part of a homefield advantage, and usually the visiting team does not get on the field until a few hours before the game. I thought it was disrespectful not to ask Graham HS officials for permission.

Correct.  Agree with that also.  My point is, like most conundrums in life, it's usually not all or none, black or white.  It's somewhere in the middle.  Gate City had talent issues and Akers was a new coach.  Bot were contributors to the poor seasons in my opinion.

Chris Akers is like some if y'alls hottest girlfriend from college that is now thriving while you continue to look across the dinner table at a monster who never had a prime.
