Hey Stu, I hate the way SOME Richlands fans act myself, but believe me, it works both ways, and what I mean by that is, that back in the 70's and part of the 80's when the Dogs were winning the majority of the matchups, I worked with, played golf with, and was around some Tazewell fans that were just as bad...........believe me, I heard it almost every day when you guys beat us. It may be a little worse now by some of the Blues fans because of all of the scocial media stuff, but I bet if twitter and facebook and the forums were around back then it would have been the same. I'm not making excusses for the way some have acted, but it happens with every fan base. I always try to remain humble about the success the blues have had for the Mance era because that's the way I was taught and I also know that everything changes over time and the success we have been blessed with could, and probably will come to an end at some point. I know some or most will point to this year and say it already has come to an end, but this is one year and we had a lot of turnover on offense, plus one of the toughtest schedules in AA, so I think we are allowed a tough season this year. I guess we will see how things go from here. I do wish the dogs good luck the rest of their season and think they have a very bright future ahead of them now. Now as far as the graham game goes, I feel pretty much the same as a lot on here do. I think the Blues will play hard and give Graham a good game, but I am worried that Grahams speed and talent at the skill positions will be the difference in the game. The blues are big and deep, but just have a lack of speed that has hurt them this year and it will again in this game. It hurts me to say that as much as I love the Blues, but I am a realist. I love how hard they have played, but just have had a tough time matching up with the speed some of the teams have had and Graham has plenty of it as well. Some of the injuries the Blues have suffered since the start of the season hadn't helped, but all teams have to deal with that during the course of a season. I sure hope that I am very wrong about this game though. I hate to pick against my blues so with all that I just said, I will still go ahead and pick the Blues to win 24 to 21 with a Levi fieldgoal being the difference. I just can't make myself pick against them !

i think most would agree that Graham is clicking at the right time and would be a dangerous team to play but The only person that I have seen post that Graham is the best team in the region is @BigWinners who is a union fan? You said Graham and Union are even on offense but Union has the better defense, which is probably true even though Graham has a deceptively good defense (only allowing 10 ppg) with the best linebacker in the area and one of the best secondaries. So if you think Graham and Union are that close then why did you say "you really think they will beat Richlands?" Maybe there was talk last year about Graham going to Salem? If there was it could've been warranted since the only team they lost to made it there. Graham is hot right now which means people are going to be talking about them, but I don't think anyone is counting out Union in the region.

Nothing to get over, I didn’t expect a win in the game in the first place! It’s not Richlands that I hate! It’s the assholes that come from there! Hell ask some of the Richlands poster’s on here, they’ve seen me at Richlands game during playoff times sitting right in the stands with them but still in my kelly green!

It may be between Graham and Union as to who advances . That being said, the Tornado is still in the mix.a lot of surprises may happen before it is said and done.

Who would've thought coming into the season that Ridgeview could possibly finish 2nd in the Mountain 7 didstrict? I'm a Ridgeview guy obviously, and even I would've told you, you were insane. Having watched Abingdon against Virginia High, I really like the Pack's chances in this one. A Ridgeview win would guarantee the Pack no worse than second in the district. The friendly confines and mountain air of Rose Ridge should make a huge difference. How many people will make the trip over from Abingdon? How many times will I get asked directions from Abingdon to Ridgeview in the coming days? Anyways, back to the game. I am thinking something like: Wolfpack 21, Falcons 17 I may change my mind between now and next Friday, but I really believe we can pull this off.

VHS has until next Friday to find their way out from behind the woodshed that the G-Men took them to on Thursday night. Ive already seen a few posts on here that have written the Bearcats off as a contender in the region and that's ok. The Bearcats heard all week long about being ranked #1, from most everyone in the community, and it got to their head. Hopefully they learned that they are not good enough to just simply show up to a game and their opponent will just roll over. No doubt that they were out coached and out played, but they started pressing too early and tried to challenge Graham to a track meet when it was still a game after the blocked FG. There's no team in Region D that has a chance in hell in trying to keep up with Graham in that way. Their speed is unrivaled around here. Anyways, the Bearcats get back home for 2 straight, and look to rebound against Lebanon. I know the Pioneers are not very good this season, but even with the tough season VHS had last year, most figured that Lebanon would be an easy win. They were wrong. For everyone who has seen Lebanon, what are your thoughts on this game?

Have not heard yet how serious is it. He was playing safety at start of season but got injured. Marion was his first game back and they only played him at WR. Yea he is, he is a brother also and the last one.

We have heard for YEARS NOW , that GRAHAM is going to be at the state game, maybe not on this thread , but elsewhere , Graham has a good team , they have a great player in Cook, they have a above average QB , line play.... not so good , they very well meet Appomattox in the semi's but let's play the game first before you cast the crowns at their feet. I would rate Union and Graham even on offense but Union has a better D, someone who has seen both teams "Live" should comment , not me I have just seen video

We have to make it there for this to happen, will we??? We found out we could throw against Central(not really a good test I know) I just hope to see this gam at "The Park" , Appomattox is the measuring stick until someone in AA beats them

Obviously, he would beat Lebanon, whom Richlands plays in 2 weeks, given how pitiful Lebanon is.

Well dang it. Just when I thought VHS may make the jump to "somewhat relevant" in football, they get hammered. I still think they are better than this game's outcome indicates. Congrats to Graham though...I am an old SW District fan.

Richlands maybe looking in. I don’t think GC can look in unless there’s a major anomaly.

Abingdon 45 Ridgeview 7

Mance my have Grahams number, but Graham has us out numbered in play makers. Until Richlands makes a QB change and there 4 injured starters get back they may only win 2 more. However, Graham won t be one of them. Long year for the Blues and probably missing the playoffs. Won't get any better for next year unless the draft is good for us. G-men by 2 touchdowns. Maybe 3.

Graham is extremely good. I don't think Virginia High is as bad as the score looked, but Graham is so good that they will and can make a very good team look bad. Graham is the real deal I believe. Scary good.

But it's fair, if we make it, and Appomattox is rated higher , I wouldn't mind the trip, good field great hosts ...but let's order some warmer weather
