I'm going to go ahead and pick against the Bears......against Appomattox in game 4. Giles may pull something off against Appomattox in that region, but it's unlikely. Union is going to likely face that brick-wall and run into Appomattox. The outcome will be the same as last year with the Bears in defeat, but it won't be a 40 something to zilch thrashing, but it will be an easy respectable win for Appomattox, even if it's at Big Stone Gap. Against Richlands, I think the Bears beat em up pretty good.

I hope Richlands wins, a big upset happens in region C, and Graham keeps winning and gets 4 home playoff games so that Tazewell County has to write the city of Bluefield a check for an extra $20,000 to completely fulfill that awesome contract!

An A+ game by Giles beats a B- game from Appo. Book it. Appo should be favored but this isn’t 2016.

He is a fine young man. His health is way more important period.

Grayson is hot right now. Holding GW to 7 points and beating Galax with holding Peoples to under 150 rushing yards is quite impressive. Idk much about RV but finishing the regular season at 9-1 means they have something. I think this could end up being a good game so I'm taking RV 24-21

Appo appears to have a very good program but they don't have the same personel as last year. Things change from one year to the next. I think there are 5/6 teams that could beat them but by me saying that, they are top dog until proven other wise.

Oh I question calls sometimes and stratch my head and think "what the hell was he thinking" but I don't scream it out loud like a lot of our fans do...and half the one complaining never played a down of football but seem to know more than a coach that has a state championship title under his belt

I agree, they have a really nice fan base. But it's them certain fans on preps that think Appo can win state in 1-6A

Yeah heard Devon Johnson has 1 more year of eligibility left in Virginia since he played his freshman year in West Virginia. Came back for some cooking classes after hours. Will be playing RB AND MLB.

What he really means about 6 out is they got 6 new recruits that where not eligible yet. Just poking the bear now don't get mad.

The head coach at lee will be there until the school board turns over. It's not right, but it seems to be the way things happen in Lee County. First order of business for a new school board is to appoint a new football coach. It doesn't seem to be helping.

I love watching film and I’ve watched a fair bit on Appo. True, I haven’t seen Appo play live, but the film and results say a bit. They’re good. A definite title contender. But not the prohibitive favorite of yesteryear.

We would have to play our A+ game and get a few breaks IMO for us to go to Appo and get a win Not impossible but very unlikely IMO I'm worried about Ft. Chiswell first though

Those are the two I'm talking about union and Graham Giles can't beat them IMO and glenvar isn't overly athletic...that's not working against Appo

The schedule was very weak but they're still a very very good team. But they won't just cruise thru Region C like last year, Giles and Glenvar can be competitive. People say Martinsville is getting better each week, if they don't lose big maybe Appo is beatable. I wouldn't count out Graham or Union against any team in 2A.

And that goes both ways.

I don't mean this to be offensive towards him but I'm not sure why Richlands would want him to play? Richlands linebackers have been very good and their front 7 have been one of the best in the area altogether. He hasn't had enough recovery time and I'm sure he can't be conditioned since he hasn't played in 3 months. If he was a home run threat on offense I get why you'd want to rush him out there but I wouldn't risk rushin him in such a big game when they really haven't needed him all season.

Have to agree there Union4sure! Once again the wheels fall off at lee in the second half of the season. No reason what so ever that lee is not playing next week with the team they had.

Should throw Lees head coach in the mix. He finished 5-5 with probably the best talent since 1998. Next year will not be any better unless he picks up some more of the Cumberland teams

And yet Union rushed for 300 yards on Richlands and held Blues under 100 yards. I don't think there's any dispute which team has best defense.
