The video I posted is full of 18, 19, and 20 year old boys.  Not "grown men".

Has Gobble had a history of doing things like that with players that aren't his son?  Him grabbing his son by his jersey and getting into his face for acting like a jackwagon isn't like the Woody Hayes incident, or the incident at Ridgeview last year.  There was no violence whatsoever in the video of Gobble.  

If it’s his son and the kid threw his helmet down, then I’m sitting out the crucify him mentality . If it’s not his kid then that changes the dynamics of the situation considerably. 

This has become a huge problem for Lee High basketball. There are some talented kids at Lee but have not been playing because of the coach. I was never a fan of the past coach but if one truly loves the sport it should not matter who the coach is.

This is insane and what’s wrong with sports right now you got kids quit because someone gets a job. People do not realize how hard it is to find coaches period! And we want to quit because someone is on staff. You already had one head coach step down because the star player wanted threatened to leave. It’s stupid back in the day your coach was your coach and you listened and got coached by him. If you didn’t like them you suck it up and play because of your teammates and love for the sport. And parents didn’t let them quit either

Nothing about education is easy.

IF, and it’s a big IF, Union gets the game in hand I’ll be interested to see what they do about subbing the QB position. Bostic has looked good for the future but I’d really love to keep him as a WR. He’s improved out there a ton this season. 
 
Who knows. My Christmas list does have Pendergraft coming from Lee to start at the U next year… and any other teams best player. Lol.

Unless I’m mistaken, PV’s first ever playoff appearance was in 1982. That coincided with their first state title. Prior to that PV was considered a good program, but not elite in any sense of the word. The P-Nut program had been in place since 1970…I think (but may be mistaken) that it was started under Cecil Maddux’s watch. But, besides1984 and 1991, I can’t remember a single year Phil missed the playoffs. The second title in 1985 was a team completely built by Phil because all of Bolling’s guys were gone. Phil gets undercut a lot with people claiming he had this and that without knowing exactly what he had. One thing he DID have was the ability to prepare players to play at an elite level. You were never on the field in a PV uniform not knowing what to do or not knowing exactly what your assignments and adjustments were. That’s where he excelled. He was a cerebral coach with a great ability to teach the game and scenarios. He was also second to none in assessing and knowing where each player would help the team the most. There have been a lot of great coaches in SWVA over the years, but it ain’t like Phil was handed the keys to a Cadillac that autopiloted itself for 30 years. The man knew what he was doing.

You are correct.  Some just have more than others and it manifests in different ways and the M7 has varied versions of it.  Take Central...we've discussed it here already but I've experienced it from the staff, assistants, volunteers, coaches, etc. more than the dang fans.  It's almost like it is coordinated at all levels..lol.  I figured that it was mostly their love of looking down on those "redneck" Wolfpack fans.  But, as I talked to other fans...Union, Tazewell, Richlands for example, they all said the same thing.  Trenton Adkins told me after a RV/Central win in which they "held" him to less than 300 yards rushing that he had never been cussed more in his life and called some inappropriate names.......and RV won by 20+ points.  Richlands people said that during Mance's last game, in the playoffs at Central, was the worse sportsmanship they had ever seen.  That is saying a lot as that program has played a lot of teams around the state.  
Now, RV fans are rowdy and will argue every....damn....call...on the field.  They are famous for pissing refs off and feeling like "the refs are always against us."  But, I honestly can say they definitely aren't snooty or look down on anyone.  And RV has its own issues but I feel like they are often labeled as too rowdy when the other fans aren't much better.  There are local politics here but I'll be damned if I can figure out why some families have influence and others don't.  It doesn't seem to be financially based.....but there are very questionable player utilization at RV that I just can't square.
Union has their own issues as well.  I hate to say it, and it's not really represented by our Union fans on here, but they often carry themselves like they invented football and the other team should be honored to be on the field with them.  If you beat them, it was an anomaly.  I think the Sproles LB for RV said it best before the big RV/Union game in 2018.....They think they are the only physical team around but they are gonna find out Friday night on the ridge that we are going to knock them in the teeth.   I think Graham pushing them back the last several years is actually good for Union......keep that fire lit.   If you can out-Union Union you will get in their heads for sure. But, Union has earned the right to some arrogance as they have the the track record of performance for over 30 years.
I guess that is why Central irks some of us so much because they haven't really earned the right to act like that in regards to football. I was actually surprised to learn that they haven't won a Mountain 7 title in football. 
Gate City is what you get if you cross RV and Union.  I've never had a negative experience with Lee or Battle and I'm sure everyone just assumes Abingdon is in a higher tax bracket that the rest of us.  Lol. 

I love and respect each and every one of you to be honest. I’ve tried and tried to get mine to go else where because of the reasons stated in this thread but he wanted to remain with his friends. 
 
Hate that the actions of a few make everyone look like asshats, not all of us are tards, just there supporting our kids like you all are.

Union will only win state if they play the backup QB. He's been begging to play. He's a natural leader. He gets the other kids to buy in. He's a salesman of sorts, and he can literally throw a football from one side of the Valley of Powell to the other. His name is Rico if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not a fan of either party involved to be honest but any charge is a bit much in this situation.
The only thing this charge does is keep this story alive longer than it should be. 

This was the worst officiated game I have ever watched. It was bad on both ends but I think Lee got it worse.

I had never seen Creasy play in person until Saturday. Like someone said previously, he’s only good for about a 6-10 yard pass. His throwing mechanics are not very good at all. 

That depends on the outcome of Lee/Abingdon & GC/Ridgeview. The points are incredibly tight between Lee, Union, GC, and VA High right now
If my assumptions are correct & the games fall as I think they will (Lee and Ridgeview victories), a Richlands victory over VHS would produce this:
