The 2D picture isn't as clear cut as it seemed a few weeks ago. With Abingdon's victory over Ridgeview and so MANY toss-up games remaining, the picture is pretty fuzzy for final positions. Only Lebanon and Gate City are eliminated. Let's start with a battle of four 9-1 teams. This Assumes Grundy splitting their final 2 games, Letcher Co losing their final game, and other relevant games going as expected(whatever that is 🙄). 1.) Union 9-1 263 26.3 2.) If Grundy wins out and Letcher drops their game, Union and Ridgeview could be tied at 263 pts. Grundy, Grundy, Grundy!

Not just offence but defense play calling also. Why did it take a wgile half to figure out you had to put 5 down linemen to stop the run. Then got out of the 5 man front just to get gutted again. Yes bad calls were made but should not be in a position to be that close to where refs determine outcome of game. Got OUTPLAYED and OUT COACHED bottom line.

I don't have DVR but I think my grandpa still has a VCR so I may try to record it. I'll be at game but would like to rewatch it later.

With WCYB broadcasting the game, I doubt they move it to Thursday. It’s a lot more logistics now than just telling the fans, cheerleaders and band when to show up lol.

He could just teach & live without the 5k HC stipend; make $45k/year to teach drivers ed. I just hope they let him ride on the bus back from Wise.

If you're in the bleachers, forget about cell signal at Twin Valley. If you're standing on the away team's sideline close to the 4 lane then you actually get fairly decent signal. Pretty weird.

Right there with you pal. I've stayed off the board since Friday because I just didn't want to talk about it. The folks on Facebook are trying to make the world think we lost because of the BS call on that TD pass where the guy was out of bounds. That's NOT why we lost. We came back from that and actually led by 10 at the end of 3. We did NOT finish and put the game out of reach when we had the opportunity. We did NOT get the ball to our other playmakers. Right now it's as if the the offensive coaches think there's one playmaker on this team, and as good as Adkins is, he simply can't do it all. I just feel so bad for Sexton in all of this. He has to be wondering at this point why he transferred from Eastside.

I agree Central played better than I expected against Lee. Hard to predict But I go with GC in a close one

Wish I could go to this game. Alas, my son is a senior at Ridgeview, so I’m stuck at Pike Central Friday. Abingdon’s OL is big and NASTY!!!! Fun to watch for an old big ugly. They dominated us up front. Dominated doesn’t even really do it justice. Gonna DVR Abingdon / Union I guess.

I have tried so very hard not to say this, but here goes. (Censored version) The RV staff has serious issues with play calling. I have deleted about 99% of this post, but could preach on this for days.

I really think GC is at least a touchdown better than Central, but I also thought Lee was a TD better than Central, so who knows. This game could be a barn burner. I like GC, 35-28.

They are the only 3A school in SWVA. It was either join a 2A district or travel 3 days by mule each week to River Ridge district opponents.

Coaches were NOT prepared for Abingdon. In fact defense hasnt been same since Union game. Trying to get Adkins the ball last 2 games when teams were keying on him. Last week when they FINALLY got Sexton ball he had well ober 100 yds on 11 carries and didnt touch ball until 2nd half.

I’ve watched both teams play. PH has a good running game but its mostly in one player. If Chilhowie can control him and be a little more disciplined this week it’ll be another big win for Chilhowie. Chilhowie 42 - PH 7 Also, If you want a seat you better get there early, between Chilhowie and PH’s fans, plus all the other people who come just to see one or the other get beat it will be a packed house. 😂

I will say that the Ridgeview radio guys were complimentary and fair. Got bent out of shape on a couple of plays, but overall did a good job.

How about talking about the game? And giving Graham some credit and quit making excuses. This is no place to be discussing GOSSIP. Especially in that situation. Graham deserves a ton of credit for that performance. Lets not forget that Graham was also dealing with the loss of a recent gtaduate.
